Oh, before it's too late I might as well ask this character ask for Genji. H-hey Genji! I made some ramen for you. W-would you like to try some.......... um Genji......... you've been slurping on those noodles for like 15 seconds....... I'm guessing you like it then?
Genji couldn’t even speak but opted to look at you and nod eagerly, contented expression on his face with a stray noodle hanging out of his mouth in a rather comical manner before slurping the rest of the noodle into his mouth.
‘It was delicious! Thank you very much Y/N!” Genji beamed at you. “Do you think you could make me ramen again sometime?”
Of all the current members of Eternal Paradise, the one who is closest and most loyal to Douma is Genji. He is the only one who Douma trusts implicitly, to the point of revealing his true nature.
( Genji was a soldier in the Russo-Japanese war of 1904. Returning broken from the war, bereft of all hope, he had nothing. Until the Lord Founder provided him respite.)
This loyalty stems from something far deeper than religious fervor or dogma. After all, Genji knows that Douma is no god. He is aware that he is a demon, he knows that the Eternal Paradise faith is a sham.
The root of this undying devotion is love. He loves Douma like he were his own son, who he lost at an early age. Genji is the one who assists Douma with the ritualistic garbs and often times brushes his hair.
