my mother is so ultra-healthy it kinda scares me. no-sugar, very low-carb, virtually no processed food. makes her own bread with keto flour. won't eat potatoes, eats celeriac instead. told me carrots and bananas are "made by the devil" because they're naturally sugary. won't use sauces on food bc it adds sugar. i brought her a bag of snacks to the uk last year and i tried super hard to pick out healthier options but everything was either "too unhealthy" or "too weird" and she scolded me for "wasting my money on rubbish" :) meanwhile i'm here wondering how i can ask mcdonalds in Mandarin if they'll let me buy a bag of plain hamburger buns bc i have a craving
