There's nothing like the creeping dread of making an extremely simple data ask and being told it's complicated, difficult, and will take time.
Like, holy shit, what's going on under the hood that makes this so hard. What do you mean the maps are randomly missing records and you need several weeks to rerun them. What do you mean you can't just send me the shapefiles. How are you generating these??? What is happening in there??????? WHAT IS YOUR DATABASE STRUCTURE???????
#increasing fear#they call me the optimizer and if they gave me the raw data i could solve this and have all new maps that look better and are correct#and i could do it in a weekend#so like what the fucccckkkk is your organization doing behind the scenes#this isn't my job but i need them to do this so i can do my job#let's go birding
