alright here i go being a hypocrite because i don't like comparing marc bolan and david bowie in a competitive manner... BUT... i would like to say i've noticed that people often downplay or dismiss bowie's cocaine addiction during the mid-seventies because he was commercially successful at the time and do the opposite with marc's substance abuse around the same time because he was less successful? as someone who has watched many a documentary on both of them, marc's "downfall" is always mentioned (and sometimes, i feel, exaggerated) while bowie's coke addiction is just the thin white duke era, the persona that is discussed easily and breezily from being associated with young americans which happened to be super successful, even though bowie was completely off his head in a terrible way. meanwhile, marc had always "lost his way" cause he was making records that weren't selling as well, and by the way, the actual quality of these records is NEVER mentioned, which is what continues to deter people from zinc alloy, zip-gun, and futuristic dragon, all of which are fantastic albums. and - here's the most subjective part of the post that i'm worried i'll make people mad with - i don't think young americans is that good. honestly, with the exception of a few great songs, everything from diamond dogs to station to station is my least favorite cluster of bowie albums in all of his discography. but it's no downfall, it's no lost way, he knew exactly what he was doing because he was successful, and marc was failing. i guess my point is more people should give futuristic dragon a good listen.
I made this Disco Elysium skill, "Grandiosity", what do you think of the rough desing?
I genuinely love it.

I complain a lot about some of the things The Algorithm thinks I'll enjoy.
This Ain't That. I am so glad when another music video drops for a badass novel.
A few lines in various places in this song:
If the heavens ever did speak, she's the last true mouthpiece.
We were born sick, you heard them say it.
Offer me that deathless death/ Oh god, let me give you my life!
I vibe with Dr. Melissa King on a spiritual level, ngl.
She's everything to me.
