Stupid vulnerable emotions alert. (cue the calls to “man up”)

I love my family right. Even through some of the bad stuff and such. But man…every time I see my niece and nephew two things happen.

A piece of me is left there with them.

And another piece of me dies.

I get overly sad and depressed because I’m not at this point in my life. Instead I’m 36, divorced, single, unemployed, unwanted, etc. but no kids or family of my own. You can’t tell me it’s possible, it’s gonna happen one day, your time is gonna come. Maybe. It’s just impossible to escape this feeling of failure in everything and a want that you want to happen.

They’re twins so it’s double pieces and everything too haha but they do bring me joy and I love them more than anything in this world.
