“Kaine!” Peter enthusiastically pops up from somewhere, jumping onto Kaine’s back with little warning, something he was getting very good at recently. Whatever he had to say must’ve been important to the child.

“The weathers gonna be hot all week. We should go to the pool or something.” He told his brother, smiling softly. “I’m not super good at swimming but I think it could be fun.”

“twick or tweat!” young, bright eyes look up at the other, a wide grin on remi’s face as the little boy holds up a small trick-or-treating bucket with both hands. it was certainly too early to be asking for halloween candy, but how could alison say no to her son? it was harmless at the end of the day to let him “practice” for one of his favorite holidays.

a gentle hand finds its way to remi’s head, alison giving the target of remi’s attention an apologetic smile as she keeps her son from getting too close. “sorry — he’s really excited about halloween. he hasn’t let go of that pail all week.” smoothing her son’s hair down lovingly, she glances down at the boy. “it was hard to convince him to not wear his costume today.”
