Maya sat in the hallway outside her dorm room. It was a little past midnight and her roommate was on her second round with some senior and Maya was sitting in the hallway playing on her phone that was plugged into the wall. It was a Monday night so most people were sound asleep by now. She liked the quiet... even if it was a little creepy. She got a serious horror movie vibe, but she didn’t change positions at all. Her legs were outstretched and her eyes glued to her phone. She almost screamed when a door opened directly across from her. “Jesus Christ!” she exclaimed letting out a nervous chuckle, “you scared the shit out of me.”
