Some of the Valentine's Day discourse around romance has me curious! How do you (personally) define the difference between a platonic and romantic relationship?

My platonic relationships have always included a lot of physical affection up to and including sex, so this was something I had to think a lot about when I was a young adult: I'm curious how other people perceive the difference.

To me, there's two main factors that separate a romantic and platonic relationship. That's not inherent (I don't think it needs to apply to everyone), just in my own life: 1- Priority. A romantic label just means that someone 'comes first' to you in terms of the time you spend with people: they get the first dibs on your free evenings. 2- Identity. A romantic label means you want to be thought of as a package deal. A little bit of you is intertwined with them and vice-versa, and you want a label that communicates that you 'belong' to each other or have blended your days together.

How do other people separate their friends and partners, and what label you use for those relationships?

It's too bad places like R.oblox turned out the way they did, mainly the economy. It was originally such a great place to go to be able to participate in community and fandom through digital merch that didn't require you to spend actual money on it, and that's honestly something I really miss from online spaces, on top of the pseudo physical element. Though there were plenty of bad apples, I think actually being able to see other people in the shape of an avatar made some people shy in a good way and act less like an asshole than they do on sites like this.

Recovering Anti confession

Being abandoned by my two antiship friends back when I was still an anti (albeit each one abandoning me three years apart) completely out of the blue with absolutely no explanation whatsoever is one of the many reasons why I became a proshipper. It's not the main reason, but it's still a reason.
