Okay now highschool Tumblr kisser Echo; 7, 9, 12, and 16?
Yay thank you!! (s/i ask game)
I am super tired today and answering self insert questions for familiar s/is is very soothing; thank you again
7. What is their gender/sexuality? Are they out? When did they come out? When did they label/realize their gender/sexuality?
All of this is basically the same as my IRL high school experience, this self-insert is definitely a 9/10 on the ‘just me but younger’ scale….
Bisexual and ‘gender apathetic’ is the term they’re currently using, any pronouns are welcome but he gets a real kick out of masculine terminology because it feels Special.
She came out as bisexual at the early age of 12 and has only recently started to explore pronouns and gender expression, but is carefully avoiding any label that would require work (ie. coming out and enforcing pronouns seems scary)
9. How is their relationship with their parents? Do they have any siblings? How are their relationships with them?
Overall a good relationship with parents! Everyone wants to come to my house for the sleepovers because my parents are chill like that. My parents work late, and I’m an only child, so I spend a few hours alone when I get home most days. My parents are worried about mental health and would like me to stop using scary words like ‘overwhelmed’ and ‘depressed’ and ‘anxious’ because they think it reinforces bad habits of thought and negative self-talk. This is the main thing we regularly fight about (as well as homework and the fact that my room is a mess).
12. How much school will they do? How do they feel about school? Do they struggle with classes?
In this universe, both Echo and Tumblr will plan on PhDs and burn out while finishing their Master’s degrees but that’s way down the line.
Echo enjoys some classes and not others: English, History, Philosophy are winners but Science sucks and Math is stupid. They have a superiority complex and refuse to actually do much work for any class, so they get far better marks in the classes they enjoy and will read/write for, whereas they will not practice math and science equations and therefore will get bad marks and hate the subjects even more (and avoid working on them even more)
16: when they have a hard day, what do they do to relax and self-soothe? Do they tend towards positive or self destructive coping mechanisms?
Read fanfiction, watch fandom crackvids, and do question games with Tumblr.
These aren’t the worst coping mechanisms in the world, but they’re very much used to ignore the tasks that need doing, so they have an overall negative impact.
