A is Alpha

B is Beta

O is Omega

It is initially a kink trope, but it can be used in non-kinky writing. (But the later is rare and its usually very Not family friendly)

It more or less a hierarchy system based on animalistic behaviors. (I will try and keep this PG as possible)

Alphas are the tops, the dominant ones. They are the leaders of the pack. (and depending on how sexual it gets there are other perks I would Rather NOT get into)

Betas are the secondary, they are usually second to the alpha and are submissive to the alpha. but in the cases when an omega is involved, acts more dominant.

Omegas are the bottoms.
