In the Waverly Wizards Reboot they just revealed that Alex's lover Mason died very shortly after the end of the show and apparently Alex started dating and even got pregnant by a dude just months after Mason's death from what I heard, so now this has caused a huge controversy in the fandom where nobody (except Mason haters) want to take this Reboot as canon anymore.
I see.
I mean i did like the Original show though it did get a bit much for me. I did watch the finale though and thought it was fine.
I honestly didnt care much for the reboot when I first heard about it.
I will say that personally I dont really take this as a cut on Alex as a character, people grieve in different ways. I am actually more bummed about Justin not being with his vampire GF. But I know why she didnt come back.
That being said, if it was like a year... or like 2 I dont think people would be that mad, but I do think a few months is pretty quick and I get why people are mad. I personally dont see it like that... but I am also neutral on Mason.
If Peter Parker was in the DC universe. He would be an amazing Lantern. His willpower, his drive to push himself, his deep sense of responsibility. It all fits.
But I wouldn't pick him as a green lantern. (He would be an amazing one, but no.)
Peter Parker should be a WHITE LANTERN. As like with Kyle Rayner he has amazing synergy with all of the emotional spectrum good and bad.
He has great Rage, Avarice, and Fear
But he is also one of great will power, hope, compassion and Love.
Of all in the DC Universe, Spider-man is a symbol of will power, hope, compassion and Love. But he can be tempted by his anger, his greed, and has felt/caused Fear. But in all of that he still does his best to be a hero.
It would be fitting for him to have the power of Life. Because with great power... comes great responsibility.
Your post made me think of BigFatBreak s' feralbat AU where Marinette interacts with the batfam
I really do like the idea of these kids getting guidance from crime-fighting adults
Not really into ML au's these days. Plus even back when I was, I never got the bat and ml crossovers much, a lot was used for salt reasons. But if its a good au thats just for fun, then I am happy it reminded you of it.
Have fun with it
Have you ever thought about writing a Miraculous AU set in the One Piece world? I saw an AU on Twitter the other day where the creator adapted Miraculous characters into the One Piece universe; they cast Gabriel as a noble with ties to the Marines who wanted Adrien to become an Admiral, but Adrien ran away. They even reimagined the Miraculous as super-rare Devil Fruits, with the Kwamis actually being the demons said to inhabit those fruits—explaining why eating more than one was impossible. It was really cool; what do you think of the idea?
I actually did make that AU a while ago. Its probably somewhere on my blog. But I havent really been writing ML aus. So if you want more for it I cant help you there. If you want to take what I wrote already and add more to it, be my guest
Get the feeling that Seven Havens is going to have a recap of Korra Book 2? Thought I'd ask, given the theories about Vaatu (who is a better villain than Unalaq) returning. And that Korra is the only spirit that Pavi is connected to.
Honestly, it will probably have a recap of everything in Korra. Though I dont think Vaatu is back, unless the retcon Vaatu's defeat. Which could be possible.
There are plenty of evil spirits, Vaatu isnt the only evil.
Do you want to know what kind of fanfic I want that's also been bouncing around my brain recently but just slowly enough to where Idk how to write it?
I want a multi-fandom crossover fanfic that's in the style of restaurant to another world, just a whole bunch of characters from different fandoms entering a multiversal tavern/restaurant to eat delicious food and chat with one another.
That sounds like a fun fanfic. If it doesnt exist, try writing it.
You want to know a secret. Try and write it anyway.
I write the ideas I want to see, even if I dont think they are good enough, and if it doesnt turn out the way i want, I just edit it OR I just stop writing it, Trying to do it is at least a way I can see if I really do like the idea.
Have you ever encountered a bigger fictional incel than Dave from TDI ?
Like in real life or in fiction? Cause if we talking fiction.
Hal/Tighten is basically the poster boy of Incels. In Megamind. The Riddler from the Batman movie is a prime example of the incel stereotype.
Though I think I hate Dave more because the characters around him FELT BAD FOR HIM, Dave was a POS and no one should feel bad for him.
(What if Aang wasnt frozen for 100 years)
-Now in the animated series its actually kind of vague how long Aang was frozen before Sozin's comet appeared 100 years ago. We just know Aang was frozen for 100 years. We do have however a decent guess.
It is speculated Aang was frozen exactly 100 years, (so lets assume that is true) We know in episode 8 of book 1, that Aang needed to talk to Roku on the Winter Solstice, where Roku warned Aang that Sozin's comet would arrive at the end of summer. so start of winter 3 months, then spring 3 months, then summer 3 months.
So we can actually assume that Aang would have been missing for almost a year before Sozin's comet arrives if he was frozen. (But if Aang wasnt frozen, its likely Aang would have been found if not caught in the storm.)
-So lets start with that.
-Aang runs away from the southern air temple. And we know he gets caught in a storm. So lets say Avatar state instead of getting frozen uses his powerful airbending to blow him in a specific direction.... South.
-Aang is found by a Southern water tribe fishing boat. To which he and Appa were scooped up and taken to a healer.
(Remember this is BEFORE the war and Fire nation raids, and thanks to what we know from Hama)
-There used to be plenty of water benders in the south pole.
-Aang was healed by the local healer, and its here Aang meets and gets along with the people. Aang even becomes friends with the Local healer's daughter, Kylulu (She is not a canon character, but I have some liberties here.) They go penguin sledding together. (cause Aang has the rizz and no you cant deny it)
-Kylulu ends up figuring out Aang is the avatar. To which Aang confesses he doesnt want to be. He even admits to running away.
-Kylulu gets an idea, the Avatar is supposed to learn the 4 elements right, why not just 'Go on a journey and learn the elements.' but do it at his own pace. Basically she says use it as a chance to see the world. Aang thought that was a great idea. If he's constantly moving he can justify not going back right away because he is 'Learning the elements'.
-Aang asks Kylulu to come with him, he has friends in the earth kingdom and the fire nation. Which Kylulu would love to do, but she isnt sure she can.
-Her mother agrees that she can, after all, Kylulu is a healer on the level of her mother, and the avatar can use some back up. Though she is apprehensive, thankfully, she has her older warrior sister Soha. She was born a non-bender, but works hard on being a skilled fighter, mainly because she is an over protective sister and 'She has dealt with the North's sexism'
-The Southern water tribe asked Aang and the group to take a message to the north.
-So Aang, Appa, Kylulu and Soha head out... just a few days before the Air nomads arrive looking for aang. (Thats right its not fire nation looking for Aang yet, its the Air nomads) Who is the one searching for him? Well he is an air bender by the name of Afiko. (If you know who this is, congrats you know deep lore and you know that this guy is an a**hole). So instead of a banished prince... we have an Air bender searching for Aang
- Gyatso is also looking for Aang, though he is moving a bit different
- So as one would expect, Aang didnt go to the southern Air temple in this one (he did runaway from home)
-But he did end up on Kyoshi island. Soha ended up training with the head of the kyoshi warriors, Lisha, basically think similar to Suki in her leadership style, but also an avatar fan girl, cause changing things up is funny. Plus just imagine Soha seeing these powerful warrior women, feeling like 'I am finally home' and then seeing the badass leader meet Aang and find out he's the avatar and start GUSHING like a fangirl. Soha just not having it.
-No one tries to burn down the island, but Aang does come face to face with Afiko. Which he defeats in a one v one and then they leave. After this, we see a letter being delivered to Fire Lord Sozin. The avatar is on the move.
-After that, Aang and the Gaang stop in Omashu where they meet up with Bumi, who is still a crazy genius, but he's Aang's age. After using the transport carts for Shenanigans. Bumi finds out his buddy is the avatar, but says he will always be aang. Bumi reveals he knew the whole time despite Aang trying to hide it. Bumi points out Aang mastered airbending at like 11, dude was always a crazy OP bender. Which Aang realized was a fair point, Bumi told him to come visit when he's done with his errand, he will be his earth bending teacher, which Aang happily agrees to. Aang now more accepting of his avatar status now that he is seeing his friends arent treating him differently like before.
-Next is a slight change, there is no imprisoned episode, but I am using this to introduce a group of fire bending mercenaries known as 'The torch'. Since Sozin didnt start the war until Sozin's comet came, and he was preparing, Sozin would likely not have had official fire nation soldiers go after the avatar... but a rogue mercenary group? That was fair game.
-So 'Torch' is after Aang, And they are a pretty vicious group. But Aang and the team escape, Kylulu realizes she needs to learn more Offensive fighting. She only focused on healing, which she is great at, but if she wanted to be a better bender and a better support for the Avatar, she needs to up her game. She begins practicing the more offense techniques that the southern water tribe has picked up, (a lot of them were made during the piracy era so some of them are pretty brutal)
-During this, they end up in a forest that a spirit was in, which lead to Aang hearing he will need to talk to Roku on the winter Solstice.
-So the episode in the winter solstice changes slighly, with Aang learning that the Fire lord intends to start a war using a comet to power himself and other fire benders up. And he has to stop the fire lord before its too late. Aang was shocked because he remembered his friend Kuzon and the time he had with him. The Fire nation was actually pretty nice... aside from the rogue mercenaries, it was hard to believe but Roku told him that Sozin had been preparing in secret since he died. Aang had to be careful of those of the fire nation now.
-Also Aang arriving at the temple in the fire nation, the priests all help Aang go in as they were not controlled by the fire lord until much later down the line. So no drama. Until TORCH shows up again, And then we get the arrival of Gyatso! Who saves the day.
-Aang learns the truth and meeting with Gyatso says he cant go back, he needs to learn the elements and stop the war thats coming.
-Gyatso understands, he trusts Aang, he will tell the elders, and hopefully get Afiko to back off.
-There is still a water bending scroll episode, but its different, because the pirates they run into were WATER BENDING PIRATES. and Head pirate tries to recruit Kylulu as a medic. And for a bit, she did, mainly to learn more water bending techniques, which she does and eventually the get the pirates arrested.
-There is no Jet episode (cause duh, he wasnt born yet)
-The great Divide DOES happen, but its the ACTUAL story, and we find out that there was a 3rd party involved which tries to make the other side hate eachother. Aang solves the conflict and the two groups are aligned.
- There is a storm episode, but Aang doesnt feel guilt, he just feels the weight of the Avatar responsibility and Kylulu has to help him out of his funk.
-Sadly no blue spirit, BUT Kylulu and Soha get sick and need Frogs. So Aang has to get them. Aang ends up running into Afiko and this time he looks more ragid and the fight is a LOT more intense. He even thinks he defeated Aang, but Aang escaped. Wondering why Afiko is so vicious...
-And its then Aang sees Afiko talking with 'Torch' and Aang realizes they are in kahoots.
-Aang now starting to see how dangerous this is becoming and he now isnt sure who he can trust. He manages to get the frogs and the team escapes from Afiko and the fire bending mercenaries.
(with the movie now LEGALLY out, I plan on watching it soon, but it got me back on my old kick. So I will be Posting my personal takes from the OG series that would piss people off.)
-Of the Gaang, Zuko is the weakest Bending master.
-Katara is the Strongest bender that is not the avatar on the team at her peak.
-Azula only lost to Katara because she was mentally unstable at the time. If She was sane, not only would she have beaten Zuko without needing to cheat, she would have beaten Katara. (Sozin's comet giving a buff to a Competent Azula would have been deadly)
-Air bending is the most dangerous and versatile bending IF one does not include the special sub categories of bending.
-Aang could have learned Metal Bending, but as it was a subset and his personality was not made with the mindset needed to bend Metal, but not impossible
-All of y'all that hate Kataang and claim it ruins Katara's character. But if Katara acting with Zuko as she did with Aang you would have been gushing and squealing about how cute it is. Basically y'all are hypocrites.
-Zutara is a fine ship and if you like it, that is great, but most of you are shipping it because of 3 reasons. 1. You put yourself as Katara and want to date Zuko. (thats fine) 2. You put yourself as Zuko and want to date Katara. (dont blame you there either) 3. You just hate Kataang and use this to justify your dislike (which is a reason that is sad)
-Iroh went through as much development as Zuko did during the series.
-Aang and Appa have a level of trust that many shows want to portray but never could.
-Aang doesnt need to kill, people need to stop trying to say Aang should kill. If Aang killed in the series it would have made things worse.
-The rest of the Gaang is totally allowed to kill if they want to. Aang is the only one that has the no-kill rule.
-The Lion turtle showing up was not an asspull. It actually was a great example of Aang always looking for another way, which was a common thread in the series. Its actually when they went with the conventional straightforward war like tactics did the Gaang actually deal with Setbacks and problems.
-Ozai was a powerful bender, he was a terrible leader and worse Father, but he was a powerful bender.
-Iroh would not have been able to beat Ozai during Sozin's comet. They were similar and skill, but Iroh for the longest time was burdened by loss from his son's death. He had a different mindset, and Iroh would have simply said that it wasnt his place to if he thought he could win. He EMPHASIZES that 'even if I could kill my brother'. which implies he feels Ozai was a more powerful bender
Aang doesnt kill people. He will disarm them, remove their bending, or make sure they arent a threat anymore because he is a pacifist, and the Air nomads taught him all life is sacred.
This courtesy DOES NOT apply to the rest of the Gaang. Katara, Zuko, Sokka, Toph AND Suki will kill. They will kill depending on circumstances.
Katara will kill if she sees no other way. She will try to look for another way, but if someone she loves is in danger, she is going for the throat.
Sokka and Suki both have warrior mentality and will kill if they deem it necessary, it isnt their first option but it isnt the last resort either.
Zuko will kill, while not blood thirsty, he knows how dangerous it is and if he senses killing intent he will go for the kill and not risk being on the receiving end. He is however honorable so he will not sneak kill you, he will kill you facing you.
Toph will kill you. She ended up becoming chief of Police. I am like 90% sure Toph would kill someone if she either finds it funny or if she thinks the person is a threat. You cant tell me she hasnt killed, she has and she will kill again.
no doodles this time, only had time for a Q&A. but i might answer any lingering questions in the next story i set up. this is the part of the AU where i'm gonna start branching off of the games' set path, though my stories will still be based on Assault/Command
I dont think I will watch the new Odyssey film. Not because of the casting choices. but any film that deprives me of hilarious word play is not worth watching.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN ODYSSEUS DOESNT DO THE NOBODY TRICK?
If they cut that, they probably did some other stupid choices:
whats next, you are going to tell me the real reason the Trojan war happened wasnt because people were into Helen it was actually just boring ass s*** like trade route disputes?
Do they not mention how Odysseus was held captive for years by a lonely goddess?
Did they NOT include the Olive tree bed that is a symbol of enduring love between Odysseus and Penelope?
Did they skip the encounter with Sylla
Did Odysseus even kill the 108 suitors for the love of his life?
So yea, I am not gonna bother seeing the movie I cant risk them butchering a story i GREATLY enjoy. If I want a fun or interesting retelling, I will stick with Epic: the musical
