Thanks to the manor wards, Remus couldn’t actually apparate within the Shafiq grounds, so Bailey met him at the gate and waved him in with a flick of her wand. She tucked it back into the sheath on her calf as they walked toward the main building.
“Tell me everything! Your letters are so sparse,” she said, glancing back to make sure he was keeping up. “How much of the moon do you remember? How’s the pain level now that you’re cognizant the whole time, easier to manage or worse? I’m assuming there’s been no self-harming since you don’t have to deal with wolf-brain?
