"At least Christmas music was largely avoidable in the clink."
He is not vibrating with excitement for December.
"I mispronounce 'khaki' on purpose and I'm not going to stop."
"Sometimes it takes an unpleasant bastard to achieve what good people can't." Simon pulls a book out of his desk drawer and settles in to read.

"Don't ever grab me without me expecting it. It's dangerous." He was tempted to squeeze until it hurt, but the samurai let go. He sighed and muttered, 'Athena makes this look so easy.'

"You might be wondering how I go freely shopping with a hawk and a sword at my sides. Well, it's quite easy."
He holds up a business card emblazoned with "I DO WHAT I WANT."
"Anyone 'round here missing a benji? Either I'm being bribed or my fine feathered friend has discovered how to commit armed robbery." Simon holds up a one-hundred-dollar bill. Taka looks pleased with herself.
"By god, I love my job. I love my boss. Nowhere else do you get to see your superior calling a giant talking ape to court over a copyright suit that requires reparations in bloody bananas."
