Hi! I hope this isn’t weird, but I read your rewrite of Something I Need recently, and I had one question. Do you remember why Chris’s vision of that dinner with Josh and the Washingtons was marked as danger?

I know you’re not entirely comfortable with that fic anymore, but my friend and I really enjoyed it <3

I remember, lol. And even if I didn't, I still have the OneNote file on the fic somewhere.

The Danger was what Josh was doing and what was on his plate.

The section is below the Read more, but basically, the end idea was that Josh was too turned, too different thanks to the spirit inside him. But the Washingtons were freaked out and forcing him to eat vegetables and salads, and no meat -- Which Josh would need.

Chris would catch on to this and later provide him meat whenever they hung out, so that Josh didn't go crazy from starvation and kill everyone.

So the Danger was literally the Salad.

The bloody butterfly beat its wings and the blood dripped down to land as two perfectly round sweet cherry tomatoes in a fancy looking salad.  He stared down at the salad bowl and realized that he recognized the dishware and the tablecloth and the carpet. 

Slowly he dragged his gaze up to Josh sitting across from him at the Washington’s dinning room table.  There was a medical mask resting against Josh’s throat, and a gnarly scar that ran up from the left corner of his lips.  His lips weren’t pursed, but he could tell by the set of Josh’s jawline that he was irritated.

He was glaring down at the salad like it had personally offended him, although honestly, Josh was the one offending it by pushing it around with his fork like he was.  He kicked Josh gently under the table, and Josh’s glare turned into a smile that didn’t reach his green eyes.

FR- Il y a quelques mois déjà, j'avais esquissé cette image. Evangelyne, entre la saison 1 et 2, qui rêve de Tristepin, qui se réveille la nuit en pleurant, regardant dans son livre pour se souvenir de celui pour qui elle a développé des sentiments très fort.

Et puis ma complice et moi, alors que nous parlions de paroles de chansons qui nous inspirent, m'a parlé de cette chanson ' Something I need' et comme quoi elle trouvait que cela cadrait bien pour Evangelyne. En effet, les paroles fonctionnent si bien pour d'écrire les émotions de la belle Cra.

EN- A few months ago, I sketched this image. Evangelyne, between season 1 and 2, who dreams of Tristepin,  wakes up at night crying, looking in her book to remember the one for whom she has developed very strong feelings.

And then my accomplice and I, while we were talking about song lyrics that inspire us, told me about this song 'Something I need' and how she thought it fit for Evangelyne. Indeed, the lyrics work so well to write the emotions of the beautiful Cra.

Recently I was talking with another best friend who helped get me into Danganronpa, and we got some Naegiri visuals from a pair of songs we shared with each other. I mentioned the Ed Sheeran song "I'm a Mess", and how listening to it made me imagine a scenario in which Makoto confesses to Kyoko that he still struggles with PTSD and guilt from the killing games and the destruction Ultimate Despair wreaked across the world, before Kyoko encourages him to be open with her about everything. This is one of those asks I took way too long in replying to because I I was convinced that I had to do homework to answer it - that is, I figured I needed to actually listen to the songs? lol

Although even after listening to them, though, I... don't really have much to say, as it turns out. So I guess I didn't need to do that after all. :-/

My reaction is basically: Yeah, I can see your interpretations fits with these songs. Although I don't know why Makoto would carry any guilt over Ultimate Despair wrecking things globally! He obviously had no way of knowing it was coming/no way to stop it, y'know?

But thanks for sharing your interpretation of those songs, and I'm glad you have someone you can geek out about Naegiri with. :)
