“Yes, I’m aware that I don’t live an exciting life,” Brig said with a shrug. She left that up to her brother who was famous in the radio industry. He was the one that enjoyed the parties and get-togethers and Brig? Brig liked either working late on an order or just staying in and baking. Baking was her one true passion. “But I never said that I did, did I? I just don’t want to go to a club or a bar where there’s going to be gross drunk people dancing up on me and trying to get me to go home with them. It’s just...gross. If you want to go, then I mean, you’re welcome to go? Have fun but I’m going to say a hard no to going with you.”

Brig pouted slightly over at Bodhi before flicking him with the paintbrush she'd been using to splatter edible gold glitter onto the cupcakes in front of her. "You're being too quiet," she said before going back to work on finishing the last few of the order up so she could leave. "What are we doing after this? Do you have something planned or are we going to just wander until we end up somewhere? I'm not used to you being like a little church mouse. It's weird Bodhi."

Wait, what do you mean your fiance called it off? what are we going to do with the cake?

She’d been the one to take the order for the couple a month ago and now she was putting the finishing touches on the six-tier cake adorned with edible pearls and watercolored roses. She spent all last night making sure that everything was perfect for the couple. Much to her surprise, the venue was pretty empty but she figured everyone was getting ready for the wedding and maybe she was a little too early. When she spotted one half of the couple, Brig waved to them before walking over with a bright smile on her face. “The cake’s done and set up! Isn’t it beautiful? It came out better than I thought it was going to. Going with the watercolor roses instead of the plain red ones really was the way to go.” Then they told her that the wedding was off and she looked from them, back to the cake with wide eyes. “I am so sorry. Um, what should I do with the cake?”
