For Killian:

19) What is your favorite fact about your OC-I think that he’s this tall and well built guy with a voice that can literally raze mountains to the ground, but he’s gentle natured and really just wants to invent things that make the world a better place. 

17) Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?What happens to him in the second half of Fireborn. It’s what drives his character forward and it’s necessary, but he’s my precious and I just want to hug him and keep him safe haha. 

For Nyx:

1) What was the first element of you OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc).It’s funny because Nyx was very much a background character in early drafts of Fireborn. As I was writing him, I thought, “This guy is just too interesting not to make him at least a secondary.” But, I always had his appearance in my mind; long, dark, and wild hair and dark violet eyes. 

For Curran:

8) What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?-Probably the that he feels like a bit of an outcast in his family. No one purposely makes him feel that way, but he was sent to the Cathedral at nine years old and hasn’t had much interaction with his family members. So when he returns home, he feels like an outsider looking in.A little different but still the same feeling, my family is very athletic and brash. I’m a sensitive artist so a lot of the time, I just can’t relate.

zero hadn’t meant to be so aggressive. the long haul on a desert mission tracking a bandit clan through devil’s razor—during a sandstorm no less; would wear on the hardiest of vault hunters, in both body and temper.

including but not limited to zero and mordecai.

both snipers were tired, hungry, and rough around the edges after three days of blistering heat and endless dunes of sand.

finally catching up to the wayward clan had been a relief. the violence following shortly thereafter near euphoria. the loot cache was merely the icing on the proverbial cake.

black with blood and dirt, zero gets there first. they flip the latch impatiently and watch the chest open, impatient for the pearls in this oyster. a reward—finally. after three days of minimal talking and watching their feet sink into the sand.

a single shining sniper rifle gleams out, winking in the sun’s light like an eye. mordecai reaches out to grab it and zero growls, ripping it away and shoving the other back. away.

‘ mine.’

they hiss, hunched over their prize, feeling only a twinge of guilt. and a small one at that.

- do they have a favorite scary movie?

( yes. they very much like asian horror, to no ones’ surprise. and scary sci fi. their favorite horror movie is brook the curse. ps. its a super terrifying movie that I would highly recommend. )

- what way would they prefer to die?

( as zero canonically stated in one of their haikus’ they would prefer not to die. they are essentially immortal if not struck down by an outside source. that said—they’d want to go out fighting a huge scary monster, or someone otherwise worthy. )

- are they possessive?

( they can be very possessive over valuable weapons/shields/grenades. if they found it they’ll keep it, and they don’t want anyone else to touch it. this can also apply to certain people too. doesn’t have to be sexual, but doesn’t have to be platonic either. )
