no matter how much I did not like the vk manga I really loved how it kept showing Yuki being so torn between 'what is' and 'what it should be' that she started mixing up her duty as the Vampire Princess as something she is familiar with and should love doing even though she missed her human life the most— the reason even in her vampire form [long hair] she looked so miserable for someone who claimed it is her original state. Later when she goes back to her human form [shorter hair] she is seen to be more honest and mixing with the people she missed.
