“Was the force ever...difficult for you?” Rey wasn’t entirely sure what she was asking, just hoping Anakin might have some advice for her. “Sometimes I feel like...maybe it was a mistake...that I shouldn’t have these powers.” She thought back to when she had discovered Luke’s lightsaber in the catacombs of Maz’s castle. Rey had been so afraid and unsure then. Now, she was still just as unsure of where her place in the galaxy was.

“Oh no...I wouldn’t eat that if I were you. You don’t know where that’s-” Rey tried to warn the child, but to no avail. The little one seemed to be perfectly content with scavenging for grub she just happened to find lying about. “...Well alright then.” Judging by the fact that the creature wasn’t swarming with flies, it was probably a fresh enough kill were it wouldn’t cause any indigestion issues. Rey stared at the strange girl from her crouched position at the mouth of the cave. “You’re an interesting one aren’t you?”

“Oi!” The scavenger called from atop the falcon. “You throw my tools, I throw you!” Seeing as how she was honing her skills with the Force more and more each day, she would be able to back up that threat. Of course, Rey had no actual plans to launch Eron into space and instead, slid off the side of her ship to extend an olive branch. “I know she’s got some battle scars,” Brown eyes glanced at the Falcon behind her. “But I think Han would appreciate me keeping her in one piece.”

The young man seemed a little caught off guard by her. Perhaps she had pulled him out of a deep concentration. Rey tilted her head at his words. Like us? Could he too understand the strange sensations that caused hairs to stand on the back of her neck? And how she just could feel and sense things she’d otherwise not be able to? Brown eyes widened at the sleek tool safely stashed inside his jacket. Recognizing the discreet move, Rey lowered her voice and dropped closer to the table. “You’re a...jedi?” She excitedly whispered. Master Luke had told his pupil he was not the last, and now she was starting to believe it.

Rey’s leg was bobbing up and down while she sat and waited. Nothing on the screens or datapad before her could hold her attention for very long. General Organa had told her to wait in the command center with some others for a briefing about an upcoming mission. The scavenger’s eyes drifted to a pair currently observing her.  “Sorry,” She gushed to the young man across from her. “I’ve just never been on a mission before...er..well actually I guess I have, but it wasn’t completely voluntary.”
