sage hadn't been bluffing when she offered the room to jj. it wasn't getting any use and he could use it more than she. so she had no problem opening up the door and letting him in. her place was decently sized, enough that they wouldn't be completely on top of each other if they didn't want to be but still no huge. not even close to looking like she came from tannyhill. ward hadn't sent her a lot of money over the years but enough that she saved it.

the horror movie played on, the two on the couch and watching it. conversation had faded has time ticked on and how she got tired. eyes heavy and she had fought hard to stay awake until she couldn't any longer. falling asleep against jj. in the mist of her sleep she let out a little groan of protest before shifting slightly against him, chasing the warmth.

it was only for a few moments before one of the girl is the movie scream and it wakes her. blinking up at jj. "shit, i'm sorry. i didn't mean to fall asleep on you."

"funny how you can so easily be friends with my sister and yet you still group me with my family." it was one of her biggest annoyance when it came to the island. how people still viewed her as a selfish cameron when she had never been anything like them. had disappeared from their lives when she was 14 and only came back three years later when her sister went missing and presumed dead. she wasn't a cameron, at least no one that grew up in the outer banks. the pogues view of her especially pissed her off. they welcomed her sister who had been more of an uptight bitch than she had been. at least pope had been a bit more inviting than the rest but sage could tell where she wasn't wanted. ot at least that's what it felt like. "what exactly did i do to you, maybank?"

"you are really on this harvard kick." she giggles softly. fez has mentioned it at least once every time they hang out since she brought up the whole idea of college. "i'm thinking more like ucla. though i'm sure we could figure out some type f schedule if we went that route." the conversation is light although the topic is heavy. they're just tossing around the conversation and it helps, honestly. makes it easier to talk and decide what they might do. "i feel like it's normal for a girl to picture herself as a mom. especially ones that grew up playing with dolls or playing house, you know." the blond chuckles, eyes dropping to their hands. the physical connection still there makes her beating hard relax a little bit. her nerves were still fried over the whole thing but this conversation was definitely easing some of it. "i just love the idea of raising a tiny human. getting to watch them become their own person and develop their interests. weekly mommy and me day -- regardless if it's a boy or girl. nature days for sure."
