There's a stillness in the air that feels almost toxic, as if the whole city stands on a single breath, awaiting the onslaught that sits upon the horizon. Caius holds no loyalties - long gone are his ties to the druids beyond simple memories, and he had never walked a clean line among vampires. But he has been searching - wandering this grave earth for a purpose he can never find in lieu of all that Rhodes forced upon him. He knows it doesn't lie in the hands of another God, and yet the church looms before him, in silent taunt. "They will burn it to the ground, as they always have, and yet this is where you find peace?"
