okay, that’s a lie. he is showing off. just a little.

in his humble defense, it’s his first project so he has to make a good impression. … only, he’s not showing off to the ones that matter ( the coordinators, the creative directors, the crew — just to name a few ). no, his little tricks are for his fellow co-stars, and cherry happens to be his select audience for the day. they’ve bumped into each other a few times before ( quite literally, with the last ending in a full face-plant ), and while they’ve successfully avoided a collision thus far, their luck remains fickle.

he’s slinging a fake gun around in a flashy manner. a back catch here, an over-the-head toss there — all on point until he takes a glimpse in cherry’s direction to see what she’s up to. the gun flies out of his grasp and smacks him squarely in the chest. he plays it off cool. “what, you think you can do better?” he offers her the gun to try.
