what cherry had in mind when she started this project, is totally unknown, she knew she’d fail, and yet she attempted anyway. and it wasn’t just a ‘i might fail’ moment, it was a ‘i hundred percent will fail’ moment, and surprise! she failed…
cherry’s apartment still quite lacks furniture, her “couch” is still just a mattress on the floor, but there’s been improvements! cherry for example has a space to film for her youtube channel now, and her dad recently helped her buy a night stand, they just had to build it. but when they arrived home with it, he got an urgent call and had to go, so he couldn’t help, and rather than waiting, cherry attempted to do it herself.
with the biggest fail ever, cherry had to call for backup. three out of her ten fingers had bandaids on them, and somehow she had managed to throw a screw on her head, no serious wound, but now she was wearing a bandaid on her head too (to make it all better, for some reason she only had bandaids with barbie on them), and the night stand looked nothing like a night stand.
she called for backup, and when her doorbell rang she immediately ran to the door, “jasper! thank you for coming! i want to get this night stand build, but it’s not going well…"
when things start to get slow after the end-of-year festivities end, minji tends to get a bit bored. maybe she just perceives it that way since the turn of the new year is like the turn of a new leaf, or maybe that's actually how it is. regardless of what this feeling actually stems from, she decides she needs to spend this time wisely.
and what better way to spend time wisely than spend time with friends she rarely gets to see? after months of touring and more months of awards shows and festivals, she hasn't seen cherry in quite a while. so, she heads over to the actors' area in the company and finds cherry, asking, "hey! are you free right now? do you want to go grab lunch? a brand new chicken place opened a few blocks over, so i thought it'd be fun to try it!"
when you’re starting out, a lot of the early days are standing around, waiting for cues, reading lines and being told what to do. scene blocking as the director puts it, is practically all that in one. as you progress on, the lines blur, the attentiveness to your character grows and you just know what is best and the director expects just as much from you.
these early days are what jino enjoys at the get-go; they’re not stressful, but filled with input at convenient times and a strong consideration to a character you’ve yet to have a grasp for. jino has a sense of who duri is — a bumbling lost cause who had fallen through the traps of life only to be dropped some kind of prize he never asked for in his lap, all the while standing in the middle of the office set, a set of papers in his hands and some type of office lingo that even jino has no idea how to decipher.
“jeez, i think it might be a little too easy to get into character. i can practically feel my analytic inexperience in my fingertips,” he jokes while tapping the edge of his papers — tucked neatly beneath his rolled up script — against the edge of a nearby desk.

cherry had been living in this apartment for quite some time. yet for some reason, every time haeun came over, it wasn't decorated. hell, it didn't even look lived in. no posters, no pictures, no decorative furnishings. haeun never commented on the state of cherry's apartment. she simply took it in stride. but one day, she finally asked cherry, "don't you want to decorate it more?"
today was the day.
"okay did you give some thought about what kinds of things you'd like?" haeun asks, hands on her hips. she meant business! cherry could always try to weasel her way out of it but with this, haeun held firm. "or like a style you want to show off? i made a pintrest board with inspiration."
minnie had been looking forward towards sunday. training had felt suffocating lately. going back to the dorms, she didn't feel as though she wanted to do anything to wind down. these last few days she's been in a cycle of washing, eating and going straight to sleep. sunday felt like a fresh start.
it started with forcing herself outside.
in order to keep herself upbeat, she enlisted the help of cherry. thinking of being outside kind of exhausted her. she figured if she didn't have a partner, she'd simply go back in the dorm and waste the day away. cherry was good company.
"you know," minnie says, decorating her tornado potato with some seasonings before adding the cheese. smothered, just as she liked them. "mmm, these were a good idea. and cheap!" minnie loved saving money. although without the additional expenses, she didn't really need to save anymore.

somehow, he wonders if he's going to get doused in this episode too, since the last show had him in the pool. but this time, he was paired with cherry, who he was excited to be on a show with. they rarely had the opportunity! but he's already too busy pouting at the kitten in front of them, a sweet young ragdoll who looked to be in poor condition. "aigoo, cherry, i feel so bad for her! but i suppose that is why we are here." he gently pats her on the head first, smiling softly at her meowing back. she did seem uncomfortable with the matted fur. "let us see what tools we have to work with..."
he smiles at cherry, not having had the chance to interact with her too much before so its probably a good time to do it while taking care of this kitty too. he's sifting through the different type of brushes, as he tries to find some that might be suitable on her longer fur. she was cute now but imagine her after getting all the knots out! "do you have any cats or pets at home?"
lately, jaehwa’s body had been running on caffeine. between her packed filming schedule and idol responsibilities, coffee had become a part of her routine. missing out on multiple promotions had already weighed heavily on her, leaving her with a sense of guilt toward her fans. while many continued to support her wholeheartedly, there were others who voiced disappointment and insisted she should be focusing solely on her idol career, especially with crystallis still riding their peak.
determined not to let anyone down, jaehwa made sure to keep up with her dance and vocal training. even if her day ended late, she dedicated at least two hours to practice. over time, the lack of rest began catching up to her and coffee became less of a luxury and more of a necessity just to stay functional.
she happened to have a little free time that day and decided to bring coffee for the team. after arriving early and getting her outfit and makeup done, she was told there’d be a short wait before her scenes. with coffees in hand, she made her way behind the cameras to where the law enforcement team was wrapping up their shoot. after exchanging brief greetings and handing out drinks, her eyes landed on cherry, her partner during one of their earlier stunt training sessions.
“hey, cherry! you’re looking great,” jaehwa beamed, stepping over with a cup in hand. “how did filming go? i brought coffee for everyone. figured we could all use a little pick-me-up.”
