‘stop staring , dammit. it’s embarrassing enough as is.’
COULD YOU BLAME HER ? he cleaned up a little bit. it was new to her , new to everyone . . . but she liked it. eyes stuck to him before he even noticed / laughing a bit to herself before cracking a joke to him. it was a way to deflect the thump - thump - thump in her chest , causing her throat to dry a little bit. then the dance. she heard his order : chest tightening as her eyes averted , sticking to the ground. part of her couldn’t help it / she was dancing with katsuki , someone she jokingly asked to dance and got a serious answer from. her brows furrow a bit , cheeks the same shade of pink as he dress. her hands squeeze on his shoulder a bit , the tiniest shift in her stance to be a little closer. her heart pounded against her chest , rattling her ribcage. uraraka was focusing on the beat as best as she could ; a slight move of her hip while she followed his lead , trying not to step on his toes. while the thought made her snicker under her breath , there was a thought sitting at the back of her mind. perched so perfectly that it bothered her. SHE HAD TO ASK . . .
WORDS WERE FAILING HER. ‘ you know , you . . . you didn’t have to say yes to a dance. honestly , it . . . doesn’t seem like you. ’ uraraka kept her voice low / quiet : ‘ so . . . why’d you say yes ? ’ she didn’t wanna tease him. a slight ‘you don’t like me’ echoed in the back of her mind / but she was . . . caught off guard to say the least. brown hues that were stuck to the ground switched to look at his eyes , the slight tighten on his shoulder loosened a bit with ease of getting off her chest. NOW THE ANXIETY OF WAITING FOR HIS ANSWER WASHED OVER.
