Already casting a look over her shoulder every few seconds had grown tiring. Walking into a place like this was the greatest leap she'd taken in testing such waters in a long time. That was before it was swarmed with the likes of the entire city. The first drink hadn't taken the edge off – in fact she'd barely taken more than a sip, the concoction something she quickly doubted after the look the bartender had given her before sliding it across the sticky bar. "Do you have any idea what's even in this?" Muttered mostly to herself but in hopes someone nearby might know, only – a brief glance up quickly sent the pit of her stomach tumbling, "Never mind.. – should have just grabbed a beer." a comment after the fact as she set her glass down.

     This is a new one. Ellis is actually having to get up from behind the desk, now, if only just to make sure his eyes aren’t deceiving him. “ — nuh uh.” It comes out instinctually, before he’s really had time to think it over, but looking between this bewooled individual and their mass of cotton-balls-with-legs he’s going to have to stick to that. Empirically. “Absolutely not. No fuckin way.”

     He was dozing, again. His knuckles and cheek are numb from the pressure that comes from squishing them together so hard for however long he’s been sitting there, uninterrupted, eyes shut, maybe drooling a little. There’s a little adrenaline in him from the upshot of waking up to the little ringing of the bell on the desk, but it melts away pretty quick. He yawns while he’s trying not to yawn and springs his fingers out from the fist he’s made of them, and then back in, out and in a few times until he’s starting to regain feeling. This takes fourteen seconds, which is a long time to not say anything.

     Belatedly, it comes out all at once, the words glued loosely together. “Y’wanroom?” He rubs the corner of his mouth with the back of his index finger and grimaces. He was definitely drooling a little.
