all interactions on this blog unless otherwise specified take place in the actual timeline of the show from season two onwards – nathan knows about his immortality (etc) which means he’s way more reckless and cocky (as if that’s even possible) than he was in season one as he now knows, like, he literally cannot die. like, yeah, he’s not a fan of being outright murdered left and right (being impaled sucks: nathan being impaled count is currently 2x, very excited to up that count), but he’ll happily put himself in any situation no matter the risk because in the long run, it won’t actually matter. he could get up again right as rain the next morning after being torn up by a machete and go to his community service like nothing happened. he’s constantly pushing the boundaries of his immortality to see how far it will actually go and so he’s super careless about, just, everything. does his life matter to him? no! why would it when you’re immortal and ageless. nathan’s a massive arsehole because he can and he knows there’s no consequences for his actions (in his mind) apart from the physical pain of being killed.
TLDR: nathan’s a massive arsehole and he’s hardly careful about keeping his immortality a secret. thing is, if someone kills him, he can show up out of nowhere in their day to day lives when he’s come back to life and fuck with them, making them think they’re seeing his ghost, drive them so far round the bend that they’re repenting and turning their life to god in search of salvation for their murderous soul, just so they can stop seeing this curly haired dick everywhere. the storm was the best thing that could’ve happened to nathan. we love a reckless fucking idiot. i will however be ignoring him swapping his immortality for card tricks no matter how on brand that was for him <3
