I feel like if you opened yourself up more and stopped being sooooooo private, you could probably get some good mileage out of threads. You close yourself off and that could turn away potential mutuals that otherwise would have been really really good for your character. Just because you're selective doesn't mean you need to wall off everybody that you don't initiate with first.

okay so… i didn’t initially want to answer this, but i have a few problems with it.

and forgive me if this comes off defensive or rude…

but selective and private blogs exist not to put themselves higher than others or to make anyone feel like they can’t interact… choosing to be selective or private is often chosen due to comfort, preference or even anxiety. 

tbh, i feel like i am rather approachable… i do not and have not wall(ed) off everyone. i have done starter calls and plotting calls, i toss up plenty of memes and i feel like those are all methods of encouraging people to interact even if i am private and preferential to friends or those i have already plotted with. i am open to people hitting me up. i have posted my discord and i am always willing to even talk to non-mutuals via ask — this is how some non-mutuals have become my mutuals, actually.

my peeve with your ask is that it reads a little entitled to my attention and your writing with me… i appreciate all the followers i have, i do, but i cannot follow every single person and i dang well do not have the ability to write with EVERYONE… i do not feel comfortable if and when my asks exceed a certain point and when my drafts are above 8? i get nervous, anxious and struggle with my muse. i want to put quality before quantity.

uh, no shade or ill to people who like it or ship it — ship whatever you want in your own time, folks — but… no. just no. he destroyed her life. he destroyed her family. he killed her parents in front of her, as a child, and then shot her in the chest. he tried to kill her. he left a young girl bleeding out in the burning wreckage of her mother’s workshop. no matter how you spin it, no matter if he was young or foolish or blind or whatever you wanna try to say about it? he did all of that out of rage because he felt insulted by her mother and wanted the guns he commissioned… even if it meant killing everyone involved and stealing said guns. if you think there is room for romance? i am admittedly concerned for you.

it would toxic and terrible and i do not feel there could be real love present in such a scenario. not to mention: if you were in her shoes could you forgive all of that? could you ignore all of that and love such a man?

why write a sexual character if you're not even gonna write it?

i’m going to presume you’re referring to how i wrote this post and the tags i added to said post? tbh, i was thinking about not replying to this at all... but... i have gotten it on sara in the past and on other blogs before, so:

you are not required to write smut.

it doesn’t matter if you write a sexual character. it doesn’t matter if sex is important to your character(ization). it doesn’t matter the sexuality of your character. it literally doesn’t fucking matter what the situation is for your character:

YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WRITE SMUT.

pressuring people into writing it or making a person feel they have to or are a lesser writer or roleplayer for not wanting to or choosing not to? is fucked up. i do not have to write smut to explore my character’s sexuality, preferences and so on. and i should not be made to feel lesser or like a boring roleplayer because i don’t write smut.

riven isn't indian

this has been sitting in my inbox since pretty much me talking about the shift in my portrayal and the resultant updates to my icon / theme / promo… and i wanted to ignore, but i felt ignoring it was an injustice.

first? congrats on the racism.

second? where in the lore does it specify riven’s race? hell, even in her art, it’s not exactly blatant… in your head is she white? in your head what is her race? seriously… 

lastly? she has dark skin, or rather darker skin — i would say tan at simplicity — in that context? she is relatively racially ambiguous. not to mention, noxus is canonically culturally diverse making most likely the vast majority of it’s population biracial or multiracial. even taking into consideration that it is a fictional universe and our world’s races are not necessarily blatantly applicable, i.e. india does not exist in runeterra, but shurima does and there is evident middle eastern and south asian influence upon it’s culture and lore.

so, in the context of canon? she is shuriman in my portrayal. in terms of my modern verse? she is indeed indian.
