"Kimmuriel." A sigh as he kicked his boots up on his desk. "Is it in the budget for new stationary?"

Summon daggers darted though the air. Taking out enemy after enemy. Truly this was a practiced dance he had with his partner. He always kept an eye on him, careful not to let and enemy get too close to getting his human companion. Though that did mean he was moving trying to stay away and fight things one on one.
In typical JarIaxle fashion, he hadn't taken to many hits but it was far more than he was accustomed to. Now to focus on his tricks and not on how he was loosing blood and messing up his foot work.

Hand crossbows click around the pair, though the drow doesn't seem bothered. After all, they were his own men, or was it? In truth, they were an illusion crafted by the mercenary leader. "Perhaps next time you won't try and steal from me." He holds his hand out. "Do give me that gold back, please."
“They can’t arrest both of us.”

"Yes they can. But luckily you have me to help us escape." He took their hand and with his free one he pulled a black fabric from his pocket. Throwing it at a nearby wall watching it expand in the air and stick to the wall making a hole into the other side of the alley.
"This way my friend."
@gemshroud continued from here.
"Then you would miss out on an evening with me? I thought it would be good for us since it is Valentines after all."
He looked at him hopeful that he would say yes. Though he knew he would. He only hoped it wouldn't be to peaceful for the two of them. Usually when it was they started some trouble but Jarlaxle was going to be good. Really all he wanted out of the evening was to spend time with Entreri and maybe get a kiss. That would make it worthwhile.
@relentlessgrief asked:
“I think I’d wear your hat better than you.” Connor extends a skeletal hand. He would like to try it on, please and thank you!
Jarlaxle only grinned at the skeleton. He removed his great hat and held a finger up for the other to wait a moment. All so he could pull a small circle of black fabric from the inside before the other wore his hat.
"I think you would look just as good as I do with it on." He said allowing him to take it and after he did he stuck the black cloth on the inside of his shimmering rainbow cloak.
"I go to war. To stand against Ketheric and his Absolute's army. If... If I don’t return…"
The words caught in her throat, heavier than she expected. She pursed her lips, forcing down the knot in her chest before turning her gaze toward her home, where laughter awaited her inside, the children who still believed she would always come back.
"Would you take them to Luskan with you?" Her voice was quieter now, almost fragile, as if saying it aloud made the possibility more real.
@harpershigh
The mercenary leader listen to her request. It was not something he expected from her but also in these times things can be unexpected. He glanced to the home for a moment before he looked back at her. A dark hand moving to cup her cheek, trying to comfort her.
"Now my dear harper, don't think that way. You will return to them I swear." He said matter of factly as if he was going to will those words into fruition. "If something dreadful happens then yes I will but it won't happen. We have both lived through worse."
