Markos wasn’t caught offguard often. A few instances being the rare exception (one already involving a Windsor child), he was always pretty calculating and collected. There wasn’t much that could dis-rail him personally, nor his schemes. That being established, it was his shock to find that, though he believed he had the upper hand in turning up out of the blue to surprise whichever unfortunate soul was paired with him, the soul turned out to be none other than Rhea Windsor. He found this out the hard way-- not by reading it on the paper, but by seeing her infesting his home. The glass of water in his hand couldn’t withstand the pressure, and shattered as he stood with his eyes glued to the face gawking at him from the now-opened bedroom door. “Miss Windsor.”
