"Now that’s not what you see everyday...” He mused to himself. There hadn’t been much excitement back then, besides the occasional hooligan being chased by a superior higher up in the hierarchy. While reading may not be his forte, the idea of a large sum of information being crammed into a inanimate object seemed ludicrous to him. Farlan didn’t quite catch the concept of staring at a simple page and magically absorbing each detail.
Little did he know, he had spoke with quite too much gusto to the point that it had grabbed the other’s attention. Oblivious to this, he raised an index finger towards the rims of his lips, as if concealing it, and tapped in a thoughtful fashion. This was of course short-lived as he soon captured the gaze of the male and produced awkward eye-contact. With a swift exposure of his pearly whites, he threw his arms behind his head and attempted to portray casualness. “I said that a bit too loud... didn’t I? I was talkin’ about your book. It was just so rare to see someone readin’ a dusty ‘ol tome from where I come from.”
