dependent was never really a word sullivan would use to describe himself. however, he finds it fitting when he’s off of work early, and sage is busy with his truck. he stops by, of course, but his boyfriend is busy and he doesn’t want to keep him from business. so, he goes about his day; wanders back into the grape vine to pick up lunch, only to find himself in his off, scrolling mindlessly on his phone. sullivan’s days lately have been good; great, even. but busy. it was always work, home, sage ( his favorite time of the day ) sleep, repeat. being a business owner, a boyfriend, and a dog and cat dad was a lot. however, with nothing to do, sullivan’s mind finds himself wanting to spend time with a friend. his first though is eamon, of course, but they could do something later that night. he considers his environment and all the left overs he could take for lunch, and his mind automatically lands on hazel. she was such a hard worker, something sullivan always aspired to be. but did she stop to take care of herself ? debatable. they haven’t spoken in a few days, perhaps a week or so by now, but he knew he could text anytime. he pulls out his phone, quickly navigating to hazey daisy.
text: hey, daisy. text: are you at work & did you have lunch yet? text: actually even if you’re at home text: i’ve got lunch that i know you’ll love and no one to share it with
his fingers type the words, sending a few texts in a row before it sits next to him on his desk. he doesn’t want to get too excited, considering there is a chance that she’s busy, but it’s been a while since they’ve had lunch together, and he assumes they have some things to catch up on.
@surefleur ▬ sullivan couldn’t, truthfully, tell you what they were doing at the aquarium. but here he was, dressed far too fancy for an aquarium, staring at fish behind a glass. “do people get ... amusement out of this ? “ sullivan questions, looking over at fleur. it wasn’t the most common thing for them to be spending time together leisurely, but with sullivan ending their no-strings relationship, why not spend some quality friendship time together, admiring sea life ?
sullivan wasn’t big on dwelling on his emotions. he wasn’t a stranger to leaving people upset or even heartbroken, but it was harder to deal with when they were your employee. he tried not to let his thoughts dwell on levi, but he often couldn’t help it. he wanted to have a good relationship with those that worked for him, but how could he do that when he was constantly reminded that he broke the blondes heart ? regardless, he went along with business as usual, and only mildly tried to avoid levi. it was typical for him to show up on his days off to check in on things, and typically he was good about missing levi’s schedule, but when he walked in, he realized he had miscalculated. his cleared his throat, offering the other a mildly forced but reassuring smile. “hello, levi.” he speaks, glancing at his watch. “how are things going today ? “ @lcvih
