Named as a hint to its true purpose, The Finch was once a home for girls, which served for a brief time afterwords as a bed and breakfast in the late nineteenth century - it has remained untouched until now, as the deed to the building was purchased by Camille Abel in 2017. The Vampire Finch, an unusual breed of bird for which it was named, is known to drink the blood of sea birds, and is studied with great skepticism by ornithologists due to its carnivorous nature. The Finch is only in operation to those who knows it purpose; to the general public, owner Camille Abel is simply a preservationist with great ambition. But as the old building is renovated, with the aspects of the bed and breakfast maintained for the sake of the business which is soon to inhabit it, there is no question that something strange takes place within its walls.
In the meantime, Camille Abel’s ‘business’ operates out of her apartment near the town center. The Finch is frequented mostly by its owner, its soon-to-be proprietors, and those who are ambitious enough to help Miss Abel renovate it. Where she acquired the money to purchase the building, and to furnish and refurbish it, however, no one is certain. And Miss Abel certainly isn’t telling.
