The former reaper couldn't recall the last time he graced someone else's body like this. Was the last time truly Othello.. or his beloved Claudia? His memory was foggy, his head in a daze as he instinctively pressed his hips further into the devil. While it was hot in their room, he felt numb up until a gentle hand brushed the curves of his face. God, that touch felt amazing. He looked down to him, unable to make much of his expression out due to the nature of his eyesight-- but the breathless kiss that met his lips afterwards was enough to tell him everything. Even though he despised demons, this wasn't exactly one by nature: This was an angel, and his wings wrapped around him to keep him close as he finally returned the kiss.
@rotdame: ❛ what's so funny? wipe off that smile. ❜ *
the demand only made the grin wider and the chuckles more ferverent. there was almost no possible way he was going to stop now. ❝ why everything! a little laughter is healthy for the soul, don't you think? hehehehe. ❞ undertaker took a deep breath in, only to giggle a few more times, rocking back and forth on his feet.
❝ but also, you missed the entire point! if it was meant to be serious, why was it delivered in such a humorous manner? ❞
so, it's roughly the same as his main verse. he is still a shinigami (grim reaper). jjk has spoken about other types of spirits besides cursed spirits. a shinigami is a spirit, so it would make sense that they existed. the only difference between undertaker (shinigami in general) and other spirits is that he can manifest himself to be seen by ordinary mortals. which leads into his verse!
undertaker is a funeral director. an eccentric, weird one who dresses funny and has an odd sense of humor and mannerisms. one of the few outside informants of the jujutsu world that deals with otherworldly and supernatural secrets. he knows things that someone ordinary shouldn't know. he willingly works with jujutsu sorcerers simply for a good laugh. while he may not handle the corpses of sorcerer themselves, he tends to handle the corpses of the regular victims that fall to cursed spirits, which is what makes him a great informant and asset as he lets shoko or whoever come and examine the corpses in order to find more details.
he has no great interest in cursed spirits or even ridding the world of them, but as everything in existence has a soul, he's been around to reap a few in his day. as an ex-grim reaper, though, he no longer does that.
his true self isn't known to the world. he hides his status as a shinigami from everyone, coming off as just an ordinary person who can see curses. he hides his true power to not draw suspicion in his direction.
he doesn't fight. but if for some reason he has to, he uses sotobas. a weird weapon to use, seeing they are wooden funerary sticks, but they're imbued with a spiritual energy to make them strong. under no circumstances would he pull out his death sycthe unless he was by himself or if all else fails, he needs to protect someone... funny. doing so though, reveals who he truly is, and well, that wouldn't be all that great for him.
if his status as a shinigami is exposed, his true intentions and attitude are changed as well, and he quickly goes from being an informant to an adversary. his true intentions of wanting to revive the dead completely but failing to do so countless times is also brought to the light. he uses both corpses AND cursed spirits in an attempt to reanimate the dead, but creating a soul from nothing is something he cannot do... but isn't that how cursed spirits are created? so far all he has achieved are lifeless husks with no sense of self, which he calls dolls.
