unova as a region is great because beyond all of its other great points , it’s almost completely self sufficient . it has clean energy that is very likely powered by generators filled with divine energy which doubled as a way for ghetsis to not DIE of primordial power^30 in a container (body) that was not equipped for that , healthcare’s great & theres straight up like alchemy & the arcane , the king’s friends with literal gods . the diverse terrain allows for different crops & livestock , notably there are no large businesses in unova ( no one monopolizes ayyye ) , as in the economy is constantly stimulated due to the success of small business ! education is fantastic & promoted ! the military force & defenses are literally holy knights a large handful of them have learned to wield some level of arcane power or alchemy .

but , unova still has trade with other regions . unova mainly exports , which also helps the economy . the main things that come from unova are advanced technology , healthcare advancements , & weaponry , although ghetsis does not give weaponry if he doesn’t think that the person who will get the weapons is trustworthy — read he will never trade a damn thing to macro cosmos .

unova is the place for transfer students to go ! they welcome giving knowledge to others !

this is essentially ‘ man making lord of hosts , angel of the east also [i’m going to put an & in here] son of light ’ some jumble ??? ‘ lord of hosts , god appear before us ’ so in more comprehensive terms it’s asking for the archangel michael , christ , & god to appear & im pretty sure that might be a holy trinity reference which is NOT ‘ a great power dwells within thyself ’

something something alkaphrah used to be a lot like yuuma in the sense of not only did he wield chaos , he was full of hope ? he told the astral world that ‘ chaos is the power to protect the ones you love ’ , but no one remembers who started that now ( except ena ) , & so of course he was hurt when eliphas decided to banish all the souls with ‘ chaos ’ believing it to be evil

also i dont like the implication that ‘ corruption ’ turns astrals ‘ black ’ thats so racist so uh alkaphrah was always the way he was & he was not the only astral of a not white energy body ? his energy color has nothing to do with chaos actually !!! in fact , having that refers more to having a concentrated energy , he’s got a lot more power packed in there than most ( which means he packs a punch , also condensed energy is harder to see through ) .

on that note , there are astral beings of all energy colors ??? it is not a world of black & white yikes .

what distinguishes barians from astrals ( aside from their general features ) is the fact that astral beings are often of a more VIBRANT coloration . barian colors are muted in comparison , eg . mizar’s pale gold color vs alkaphrah’s really blindingly bright gold energy form , or vector’s muted greyscale even next to no. 96 , who yes is definitely an obsidian color but still the accents of his body are REALLY SATURATED ? like yknow . the difference between a matte color & a chrome?? or gemstone-like appearance of that same color ???

the astral trait “shining” refers to this vibrance that’s why its called the shining draw ( they’re basically saying ‘ this is our play style ’ , which is still pretentious as heck ) . barian chaos draw is genuinely just ... named that because the trait most associated with barians is “chaos” which again is not an evil force at all . it has to do with emotion , memories , hopes & despairs . which is why the barian lords are , well , really emotion driven . be it vector & nasch who just seem to fight out of resentfulness , durbe & megrez who are driven by a desire to protect their loved ones , alit & merag who seem to be similarly driven by bonds but more platonic ( merag ) or romantic ( alit ) , & mizar who has such a deep connection to his dragons , so on so forth .

astral , as the series goes on , arguably shows more barian traits than ‘ astral ’ traits . yuuma is absolutely lined up to be an excellent barian simply for his passion & hope & ability to actually use the chaos in him .

OBLIGATORY POST ABOUT THE ELDER WAND TO FOLLOW UP ON THE ANTIOCH POST !

the elder wand , named such for being exactly what’s on the label . a wand of elder wood , it has a thestral tail hair core . this is death’s wand . there is a controversy about whether or not antioch actually made the wand . he didn’t . however , he did make a wand of yew & thestral tail hair , which was death’s challenge to him .

death never just handed out gifts . while antioch did ask for a wand that would give him the power to protect his family & to strike down those who would wish them harm , death essentially said ‘ make one yourself ’ . so , antioch made the yew - thestral tail hair wand . death bestowed the elder wand to antioch as a gift . until the violent battle with the wizard who had once attacked ignotus , antioch used the yew wand if he used a wand at all . he kept the elder wand on his person .

it seems that the elder wand functions much like antioch’s wands , bringing out the full power a person possesses , even if it is not being actively used ( however , very few people could bring out the wand’s full potential , with antioch & albus dumbledore being the only wielders who ever managed ) . this made many covet it . greedy individuals believed antioch to be unworthy of it , if he never used it .

a person who uses the elder wand out of selfish greed or desire for power will die within a month of casting the first spell , as the wand will backfire on them . antioch did not die because of the elder wand , he died because he was murdered , the wand had no part in that , another vengeful wizard did .

nassim harmonia is unova’s crown prince as well as the hero of zerkom .

born to king ghetsis harmonia , herald of zekrom & minerva traven , a thief from the castelia slums , nassim , later known as n , takes after his ancestor tevrien in the fact that he was born into greatness , but not granted any supernatural powers by a new god ( aka one that hadn’t given a blessing before to the family ) . instead , he received his blessing from zekrom ( who keeps coming back to the harmonias ) as a hero .

his ability to hear the hearts of pokemon marks him as a member of the harmonia family , if his name & characteristic green hair didn’t already give it away . much like his father , nassim is a prodigy , with his greatest skills manifesting in math & science . however , he is known to share his father’s eidetic memory . nassim possesses an ability much like the fourth king , dolav , allowing him to see the past & future of all people he meets .

his relationship with his father is ... complex . not that the two hate each other , but ghetsis just wasn’t there . although , a large part of why nassim doesn’t hate his father is because he saw it coming . does it make him sad ? yes . but did he also foresee that after a lot of strife , his father would come back to try & make up for lost time . the two are still awkward around each other , but they do make attempts to heal . in time , nassim knows that things will get better , but he also knows he can’t push that , or he’ll throw that future off track .

as zekrom’s hero , he’s certainly an idealist . not so extreme as his father , who is literally a god of ideals , but enough so that it makes it hard for him to connect with others . sometimes , he’s in denial about the truth .

unlike his father , nassim does in fact have a MASSIVE EGO & contrary to popular belief , really likes himself . he’s very comfortable in who he is , & sometimes thinks of himself as “the ideal human” since he was chosen by zekrom , ‘ it must be that in my life , i have become the ideal form of a human being ’ ... his ego sure can be obnoxious to others , but he genuinely does mean well .

he has a very strong bond to basically any pokemon he meets . that’s also a harmonia thing . he has actually stolen pokemon away from abusive trainers before . in broad daylight , knowing no one will do jack shit because he’s unova’s crown prince & they CAN’T do anything other than what tell his dad who has the same mindset ? he’s gotten away with a LOT ... being somewhat poorly behaved but for the right reasons .

ok for those of you who know fullmetal alchemist , the philosopher’s stone is made of human souls . & in most other legends it’s something that grants immortality , turns base metals into more precious ones , so on so forth . so , this ... is like a massive transmutation ??? chant ??? & factoring in that the orichalcos ?? is i guess made of souls , has the power to judge souls , & gave a dude immortality , this shit isn’t so out of left field ???

it’s ??? a chant asking for immortality ??? possibly by sacrificing angels & gods ??? likely mean to be spoken on a deathbed :)

guardian of shaymin , queen laleh harmonia . born in the holy land of michina , she is the second of three children . her older sister roshni , guardian of xerneas , became queen of kalos . her younger brother solomon , the scion of purity , eventually went mad in his attempts to turn back time to prevent her death .

laleh was a queen loved by the people of unova , urging them to be grateful for the things in life that made them happy , to never forget that they were not alone .

laleh died in 1974 . details about her death are unclear , although it can only be assumed that she , too , was a victim of the harmonia curse . she was survived by her husband , ninth speaker of the divine house harmonia , king ezaveyl , & her son , tenth heir , crown prince ghetsis .
