★ ( you know which muse Inky YOU KNOW )
‘Loud' and 'angry' would be the first two words that came to mind when asked to describe the shark; it had been that way back then, and it was still the same now despite knowing him a lot better. Truth be told, Dante had thought Squalo to be little more than a man whose bite wasn’t nearly as bad as his bark. Because, really — breaking into a guy’s shop-slash-house just to tell him how badly he could kick his ass? Who even did that?
Of course, Dante had been wrong; Squalo was a lot more than he appeared to be at first glance. And to be honest, he’s grateful for that, and for the fact that they were able to connect — albeit in their own, snarky little way.
As far as first impressions go, though: angry, loud, and possessing an attitude and demeanor that must have been compensating for his lack of sword skills. Or, you know. Whatever else Squalo was "lacking" in.
Also, he may or may not have thought Squalo to be a woman for the first 20 minutes of their meeting. Just saying.
