Well, that was quite odd. She dazed out for a moment, but her attention had returned. "Oh. Sorry, did you say something?"
The uncomfortably warm sun beat down on his fair skin, tanning him slowly beneath the thin layer of sunscreen he had applied as way of protection from the UV rays. It caused his deep tawny eyes to squint from beneath the brim of his hat that hung low over his brow much like a sun visor, words scrawled across the front that of the Japanese characters he used to spell his name, the playground filled with bubbling laughter of children nearby playing as ambiance music among the soft chirping of the local birds. Eyes skimming along the floral expanse of the lush green park, trees blooming with summer flowers and scenting the air with the delicate scents replicated only in light perfumes, he sat in wait of the main star of one of his outgoing contracts. A model and actress whose popularity was currently on the rise. It was in times like these that his journalism got put to use. To interview and photograph her for a small spread in the magazine that had contacted him was the job but as the time dragged on, his bottom seated on the edge of a bench nearby the parks entrance, he began to think twice about sticking around much longer.
The cigarette dangled from his lips in a lazy smoke, the gray smoke wisping up and swirling faintly before whisked away by the humid breeze that left him feeling more warm than cool. She was not dreadfully late but any time before noon was too early for him. His patience was rather thin. Removing the cigarette with a light grasp of his index and middle finger, the smoke was expelled from his nostrils and a large straw from the medium sized jasmine milk bubble tea he’d purchased was raised to his lips in exchange. Hers sat in wait of it’s soon to be owner, the drinks bought as way of starting off on a good foot but with minutes ticking away, he doubted he should’ve done so. The faintly sweet milk washed over his tastebuds mixing with the foul taste of nicotine he had grown so used to, the pink muscle just past his lips darting over his bottom lip to gather any remnants that remained. Thoughts of leaving occurred to him, his hands checking his phone for the umpteenth time as he watched the digital minutes increase. A low sigh left him, the camera bag beside him lifted as he shifted as if to leave. He would call her once and if she didn’t pick—
Her voice rang above the children’s joyous laughter, his head turning with a hopeful glint in his eyes that she was who he needed to meet up with. Speaking only on the phone, he could not be sure but her face was recognizable. “Saerin-ssi?” His voice inflected in the question, thick brows lifting expectantly. If she was not her, he would leave without another word so here he was hoping for the best.
The morning hours were the best time of day. The dew that glistened on blades of green, the birds that sang their morning songs, and the blinding rays of sun were all so beautiful. It was extremely rare for Saerin to oversleep, but as luck would have it, of all days for her body to need that extra hour of sleep, it would be today. It was important for Saerin to have her voice heard, and to have her face seen by the public. Now that she was rising in popularity, if she wanted to keep that fame she worked so hard for, she'd need to sacrifice a lot of her time and dedicate it to interviews, fan meetings, and photo shoots.
Today, she was scheduled to meet an interviewer for a relatively popular magazine at ten. It'd be easy, she assumes - he was here to capture her not with a dolled up face or an extravagant dress, but to show that she too was normal, with a life that was like everyone else's. It was to make her more likable, more approachable by fans. It's pushing ten fifeteen when she arrives at their meeting place - a park in the heart of Seoul, one that thrived with people of all ages. A natural setting, a place she enjoyed visiting.
It's her first time meeting him, so she's a bit nervous. Dressed in black high rise shorts and an over the shoulder white blouse, with a killer pair of heels to match, Saerin walks the path of the park, honey glazed eyes darting around in search of the man who she'd talked to briefly on the phone. Unfortunately, she wasn't given a very detailed description of his appearance, but it's relatively easy to pick him out of the crowd when she finds him. Sitting alone on a bench, with a camera in his possession, she's sure it's the person who she'd be talking with today.
"Good morning, sorry I’m late!"
Her apology is a bit rushed and breathless, but nonetheless sincere. She bows her head, a respectful gesture, and folds her hands together just below her navel, fingers threaded together. She counted on him being angry with her tardiness, but he hardly seemed annoyed. Ruby red lips spread into a wide smile, a nod given to his questioning tone of voice. It wasn't a great first impression, her being late, so she'd try to make up for that by being as polite and respectful as possible.
"It's so nice to meet you. I look forward to us talking together today." Her voice is like a soft, gentle melody, her excitement shining through and glowing in the depths of her eyes.

Everything was a little.. hectic today. The stylists were running late to arrive on set, the photographers were having some technical difficulties, and the lighting was terrible. Most of all, a new model was appointed at the last minute to work with Saerin.
Now, Saerin had no problem working with someone new - especially considering the last model was a royal bitch, but according to her manager, this was an ordinary girl that he'd found on the streets. No profile, no references, no experience.
So, it's safe to assume that she's only got a pretty face and a nice body, with no direction on how to work it. It'd be difficult to work with someone if they couldn't even pose their own body, let alone pose around someone else for a flawless picture that would sell the company's clothing.
"Aigoo.. I hope she's not terrible.." Saerin groans to herself as her manager leads her to where they had agreed to meet. With everything haywire today, there's not a lot of time to familiarize herself with the other girl, let alone find her among the chaos.
"She's over there - go say hello, and be friendly, okay?" She's instructed to act polite, which is something Saerin is rather good at - so she nods, and puts on her brightest smile to approach the woman with. Her manager points to a woman looking a little loss - yet very beautiful. She definitely had the face for modeling, no questions asked.
Saerin finds her and taps her shoulder, garnering her attention. "Excuse me? I'm Park Saerin, we'll be working together."
