“I hate that you’re mad at me, but you look so hot right now.” carol to robyn lmao
“fuck off,” robyn snarkily replied as she yanked off her shirt and aggressively threw it in the hamper. she didn’t know why she was so angry like this, she just was. “i’m taking a shower. and then i’m going to bed.” okay, she wanted to jump carol’s bones too but robyn wasn’t about to let her have the upper hand. fuck that. “goodnight.”

→ 40. …because the world is ending.
they were losing for the second time which could only mean that the final chapter of earth’s mightiest heroes was coming to a bitter close. she didn’t know where anybody was. the dust that surrounded the battlefield was thick and unforgiving. the only person she could make out was carol. of course. her carol.
“h-hey...” robyn croaked out, reaching out a shaky hand to grab onto the others’ bicep, pulling her close. “i’m sorry.”
robyn rested her forehead against carols as a few tears began to stream down her face. she pushed back the stray blonde hairs that covered carol’s eyes, trying to ignore the sharp pain that started at her shoulder and ran down her back.
“i love you.”
and with that, she connected their lips for what was truly the last time.

“ you are my forever . ”
“you are my forever,” she repeated almost breathlessly. the golden bands slipped over their fingers with no effort. her bare arms were covered in goosebumps as her heart pounded to no end. this was it.
“you may now kiss the bride.”
robyn wasted no time in pulling carol into her and connecting their lips. the cheering from their guest’s sounded like a distant roar. she was too busy in getting lost in her newly wed as she picked her up and spun her around, laughing as she kissed her once more.
“my forever.”

“ i can’t live without you . “
for the longest time, robyn and carol had been on the same page about all of their hopes and dreams, especially about the future. but ever since the snap, a rift had almost torn them completely apart. it was inevitable. they needed things of each other that they couldn’t fulfill. “my parents are alive, carol” she replied, a softness in her that nearly masked the harshness of it all.
everything had changed. she couldn’t live like this anymore. “i need to go home.”
carol used to be her home.
