It was clear as day that Bastila was agitated - and why wouldn’t she be? She was well aware that she was transporting illegal contraband, ancient artefacts of some description that she had happened upon during her last treasure hunt. She couldn’t say what the importance of them was, just that they were important. This was why she was so eager to get them to the Resistance, both so that someone with more practical knowledge could identify them, and to get them to safety.

She had tried to stress the important of her find in her coded transmission, but considering the lone smuggler that the Resistance had sent to assist her, she felt that the urgency hadn’t quite translated.

“Are you really all that the Resistance could spare?” Bastila asked, giving the man a judgemental once-over.

“well, i guess we should have seen it coming,” she awkwardly says with a small chuckle. “couldn’t have kept them away from each other for very long.” robyn should have known and hell, daisy said it was a stupid idea to begin with. to separate her and carol’s twin daughters and just expect them to never meet or know of one another. in a way, she was thankful that they had figured it out early on instead of in their twenties like her and her sister. now, robyn just had to face her ex. and fuck, she still looked good. “so um, how’ve you been?”

 “holy shit.”  you say it mostly to yourself . surprised and a bit bewildered . it’s like being a dream but knowing you’re awake . you immediately cover your mouth , realizing you’ve spoken out loud .  “wow, i - you really look like someone i know.”

natasha, for once, felt as if things were at least somewhat normal. things weren’t perfect by any means, but was anything ever going to be perfect again? hell, natasha wasn’t even sure that things were ever perfect between them. the redhead could remember some parts of her childhood and others she knew were thoughts that were forced into her head to control her. and yet there was no one to control her. not anymore. she was with daisy and no one else really had a say in anything. and the more and more she was away from the people that had controlled her for so long, the more she was able to think about her past. about the past that her and daisy shared, even if it was only for a bit. 

she could remember the days of going into her room, of walking back from school, of just seeing that smile that would rise on her lips. they were happy, if even just for a few moments. just the thoughts made a hint of a smile on her lips, a soft chuckle escaping her lips as she ducked her head slightly. “sorry,” she whispered through her small laugh, her moving her fingers to brush along daisy’s cheek slightly as she went to meet her eyes again. just for a while, they could focus on being together. on being close to one another without the fear of anything else and it was freeing in a way that natasha didn’t know how to describe. “do you ever just have those days where you... can’t stop thinking? but in a good way?”
