( anya and charles at the beach. )
he is at the water’s edge when he sees her. at first, charles does not – cannot – believe his eyes. there, sitting with her knees drawn up to her chin, is anya eisenhardt. a few moments pass and charles can do nothing but watch her, examining the silhouette of the child he has heard so much about. ( it looks as though she has walked straight out of the photograph magda once showed him. straight out of the memory once played for charles to see in erik’s mind. ) but —- how ?
| his mind pushes against hers, gently, ever so gently. there is no intent to harm or scare or cause the child any distress, and charles is careful to merely whisper the shred of a thought: I KNOW YOUR PARENTS. |
