A fairly common color of petunia one can find at garden centers and nurseries, however these are special to me. My nextdoor neighbor planted these every year, always the same color, and would give me one or two plants. I grew these from the seeds of the last plant she gave me before she unfortunately fell ill. She was a major reason I got into gardening, which helped me with a difficult transition in my life, and she reminded me so much of my late grandmother. I don't exaggerate when I say this woman probably saved my life by giving me these flowers. She would always say, 'think of me when you plant these.'
I'd like to think she'd be very proud at how well these did.
If you think the little ways you interact with people don't matter, I assure you they do in ways you don't realize.
