❝I know.❞ her words were spoken in a soft broken whisper, a far cry from her usually bright and loud voice. Emerald eyes stared at the carpet of her bedroom, not really seeing it as images of her recent nightmare played before her eyes over and over again. She felt tired, exhausted actually, her mind had been working in overdrive for the past two months. The few moments of peace she had were actually the numbness medications gave her, and that was not much of a comfort. Sakura wanted to talk to him, she wanted to open up her heart and let it bleed every ounce of pain stored away; however, words got stuck in her throat every time thought about doing it, she was not yet ready to completely fall apart, and thus resigned herself to endure it in silence.

❝Thank you, Naruto. Thank you for staying by my side, I... I don’t know what I would do without you.❞ a sad smile curled her lips when Sakura finally turned her eyes away from the floor and stared into Naruto’s bright blues.
