Cassie was waiting in the room her healer had escorted her back to, nervously worrying her bottom lip between her teeth. She glanced at the clock, knowing Al was coming from practice, but that’s not why she was nervous. It was because once they found out what the baby was, it would make all of this real. it wasn’t just them talking about being parents, it made it feel like the really actually were. Maybe it was a delayed reaction for her, or just her feeling in denial, but everything seemed to hit her in the last five minutes she’d been sitting in that room.

She looked up when the door opened, expecting to see her healer, but smiled when she saw who it was instead. “Hi,” Cassie said as he walked over to the examination table she was sitting on, leaning over to kiss him. “No one else saw you, right?” She asked as she pulled away from him. Cassie knew they would have to start telling people soon. She was tiny and already starting to show. It wouldn't be long before it would become really obvious. Cassie sighed and rested her head on his chest, sliding her arms around his waist. “This is still so weird. Please look at this, okay.” She moved back from him and hopped off the table, lifting her shirt a little. “Like when did this happen? Because that wasn’t there last night.”
