☁ ❝double trouble.❞
{ @hrvkrv }
Per most evenings at the izakaya, most of the patrons come after the sun goes down and the red lanterns are lit. Whether it’s people coming straight from work or looking to make a stop for cheap food and drinks before heading out for a night on the town, the evening is when things start to pick up and when Mina begins to put in a lot of work to earn her keep. With greetings and a hand towel being given to each newcomer, the motions are so much a routine that Mina moves through them effortlessly, as if it were muscle memory. Just as she turned to hand the hot towels to the well-dressed men sitting at a table nestled in the corner, her gaze lifted to observe their appearances, only to do a double take.
One of the men seated at the table didn’t get any of her attention, but the other man? Mina nearly dropped the towels in surprise at the sight of him; he looked exactly like someone she knew from her past. She can’t help but stare, even if she tries not to be too obvious about it. “Good evening, welcome...” Mina greeted politely with a bow of her head, setting the bamboo stand that held the towels onto the table for them to grab at their convenience while she continued to have the internal battle with herself; was this him? “Do you happen to know what you both would like to start with?”
