Played through DA: Inquisition again recently (because I had an idea for an oc ex-apprentice-Venatori mage x oc captured Dalish elf story no one would read), and I got to the bit in the Trespasser DLC where communication is just… crumbling.
Dorian hasn’t told Adam (romanced Inquisitor Trevelyan) his news and they’re just so obviously distant and out of the loop with each other (Adam’s hand/mark is disintegrating and killing him and Dorian calls him ‘old friend’ instead of Amatus, and he’s doing his thing without Adam in Tevinter), and Adam is so obviously and painfully pining for him but trying to be the supportive boyfriend (?) all the same, and it just broke my heart all over again. The angst and emotional potential is just so painfully out there. Oughhhhh. My heart.
