“ale- do you think this looks ridiculous?” ariel turned her sketchbook over to face her cousin, it was a rough sketch of a pomeranian in a typical cherub pose, complete with tiny wings and tastefully fluttering sash of silk and all. she tried her best to mimic the ultra-realist tone that her professors have been griping about since college. “i’m asking because i want it to look ridiculous -- in a ...sistine chapel kind of way.” ( @alessandrxs​ )

she had been pacing out in the hospital corridor for what seemed like hours, watching family member after family member take turns to hold vigil beside her cousin’s bed. they all had motioned for her to come in with them, to which she merely grimaced in return, gesturing that they should go ahead -- ariel had no idea what to do or say without bursting into tears. at least, she tried her best in composing herself before finally making her way into the room, puffy-eyed and sniffling, she thought of whether she’d rather face him awake or asleep. it didn’t matter, however, as the second she laid eyes on her cousin, the dam of tears she thought she had quelled began to break once more, leaving her to gasp and shiver in its wake. “h-hi ale-” she hiccuped out, barely keeping herself together.  ( @alessandrxs​ )

“y’know, with our sheer numbers i thought that the next few years or so would just be the savoias hosting weddings across continents.” she snorted, in a terrifyingly inelegant manner, sipping at her glass of raki. “but god, i love weddings! don’t you love weddings?” shooting her cousin a wide grin, ariel didn’t even give him a chance to answer before continuing. “do you like turkish food? b says she doesn’t care if anyone at the dinner would rather have mcdonalds, but it’s your birthday! so you should have the final say.” ( @alessandrxs​ )

“ale - i don’t know if i’m homesick or bored...” she sighed dramatically, moving her glass of wine from the coffee table to the side table next to her. “what do you do all day? apart from taking shirtless pictures by the beach, anyway -- do you think that people might decode where we are by the certain way the palm trees are growing? you never know with the internet these days, you know. it only takes someone printing out your beachside photoshoots into posters for them to realise that it’s thai brand beer peeking out in the background... and then we’ll move somewhere else again.” ( @alessandrxs )
