It was terribly convenient that his power to drive mortals insane was reversible. That said, it was terribly inconvenient that the city council always seemed to have an interest in what he was doing. It’s not like he’s doing any long term damage, nothing physical anyway, and he’s only doing it to assholes who deserve it. Like men who think it’s okay to touch girls without permission at his bar. Surely that was grounds for some kind of punishment. So what was Amaterasu doing getting Dionysus in trouble for it? Just because he was a god? This was no abuse of power, this was...repercussions. And nothing more.
“Anyway he was trying to touch a girl at my bar. She didn’t like it. I stepped in. Everyone’s fine!”
Minus the vivid nightmares that the man would now be having for the foreseeable future.
