I’ve been obsessing over Korean beauty products for a month now because I really envy the skin of those actors and actresses that I see in Korean dramas. I also found out about it when we traveled to NYC. My face got so dry because of the cold temperature and my aunt recommended looking in Nature Republic for moisturizers. Since then, I was hooked.
Luckily, I remembered that there was a website where I could order K-beauty products straight from Korea to the Philippines. Presenting to you... Althea Philippines!
I don’t always shop online because I like trying things out, especially makeup, before buying it. Shopping at Althea Philippines was definitely an exception! They have a lot of brands to choose from plus they even have lower prices compared to those that I can buy here in malls. Their website (ph.althea.kr) states that it will take approximately 10-15 business days before your order arrives at your front door. You will also have free shipping when you order items above Php 1,500.
I was surprised when I received the package yesterday because I just ordered it last August 11! That’s a total of 3 business days! It’s just as long as my waiting game if I buy things through Instagram locally. It’s just amazing. Hands down. Also, there were no extra charges for tax or whatever when I got my package. It was truly hassle free. I give them 10/5 stars!
You’ll never miss the package because it’s in a pink plastic wrapper with the logo of Athea.
Omo, it’s so pretty!
They also have the list of the items you ordered and of course, your shipping details.
Straight from Korea!
It is neatly packaged. To protect the products even more, they also wrapped the whole box in bubble wrap.
The box is so majestic! The color is super cute and it also feels very sturdy when you hold it.
TIME TO OPEN IT!
Tada~!
The items are individually wrapped in bubble wrap as well!
I ordered a total of 6 items so that I can avail the free shipping.
YAAAAS!
The first one is The Face Shop’s Rice & Ceramide Moisture Toner. I bought this because the toners that I bought here in the Philippines are kind of drying, which makes my face produce more oil after I apply it. I also saw good reviews about it online!
Second is Chica Y Chico’s Matt Cushion in the shade #23. I’ve never tried cushion products before because they’re too dewy for my oily skin. This product claims to be matte so I want to give it a try!
Third is It’s Skin Power 10 Formula PO Effector. It claims that it minimizes pores. Having an oily skin type, my pores are always visible that’s why I want to try this.
Fourth is Skin Food’s Black Sugar Mask. I know that this is one of the cult favorites in K-beauty and that it really leaves your face soft and smooth.
Fifth is Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel. This is another cult favorite! I bought this because I left mine in the US when I took a vacation. This is really perfect for oily skin and Philippine weather!
Lastly, I ordered Holika Holika’s Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner. I ordered this for a friend who wings her eyeliner everytime.
BONUS! Althea gave me a free Mamonde mask! I was so happy to see this freebie in the box!
So, there you go! Shopping for Korean brands are now easier thanks to Althea Philippines! Their service is really good, unlike other online stores out there. It’s my first time ordering from Althea and they’ve already exceeded my expectations. I would definitely buy from them again!
