i found a pen!!!! thank fuck because lisa said she wants me to pop to the store but i know i'll forget what we need the minute my feet leave the driveway coffe (expensive kind) bagel bites (she said pepperoni but tell her they were out. even if they have it) lettuce BIG!! TOMATOS green beans greek yoghurt tortillas ranch make sure it's wallace behind counter not stevie because stevie always tries to talk to me about his cat tina and honestly as much as i do find it funny i think he just needs to leave the house more COME BACK 8PM. WORK TOMORROW. maybe get more cheerios if cash left over?

ooh 4 and 11 intrigue me!
‘I’d get my knuckles bloody for you’ is an idea I had for a follow up to ‘there’s only diplomacy for you, dear’ that I started writing way back when and never finished. Another protective Jack fic, this one focused on Jack tracking down the people that attacked Davey.

Jack turns just in time to watch as Davey struggles to change out of his sleep shirt, wincing with each flex and strain of his bruised muscles.
“Here,” Jack murmurs, stepping forward and nudging Davey’s hands out of the way. “Let me.”
Jack carefully eases the fabric over his head, mindful not to move too fast or tug too hard.
“Thanks, Jackie,” Davey says once he’s finally free, his hair adorably ruffled and his eyes soft with gratitude. “You said you had a shirt I could borrow, right?”
“Yeah, anythin’ that’s mine is yours,” Jack says, setting the shirt aside. “But I still think you should...”
Jack goes very still.
Davey’s chest and stomach are littered with bruises—so many that they overlap in several places, his skin mottled in various, painful looking colors—and when he turns, Jack sees that his back is covered in long, thin, scratches, like he’d been shoved up again a brick wall or thrown down against the pavement.
“Jack?” Davey asks when Jack doesn’t continue, tilting his head. “Where is that—?”
Jack steps closer, his heart thundering in his ears. There’s a bruise on Davey’s arm, a deep, aching shade of purple, that nearly wraps around his entire bicep. There’s a second pressed into the space between his neck and collarbone—far, far too close to his throat.
They’re very clearly shaped like hands.
“Jackie?”
“I’m gonna kill them,” Jack says, his voice tight with furious promise, a storm churning in his gut. “I’m gonna hunt them down and rip them apart with my bare fucking hands.”
“Jack,” Davey starts, ever the peacemaker, always willing to go to bat for everyone except himself. “You know you can’t—“
“The fuck I can’t,” Jack bites back. “Are you kidding me, Dave? You seriously want me to let this go?”
“I’m not saying let it go,” Davey patiently responds. “I’m saying we should handle this diplomatically.”
“Well, there ain’t nothin’ more diplomatic than a fist to the teeth,” Jack says. “And I’m more than happy to deliver it.”
Davey sighs. “I’m serious, Jackie.”
“You think I’m not?”
Jack cups a hand around Davey’s jaw, leaning forward until those brilliantly blue eyes meet his own.
“No one is allowed to treat you like this, David,” Jack says, as serious as he’s ever been. “No one’s allowed to put their hands on you—hurt you—like this, I’m not gonna fucking stand for it.”

9. what does their future together look like?
- a lil complicated, it takes a while for them to catch their footing. pope goes to college, jj works in a mechanical shop in the same town. they buy themselves a small apartment to start with.
- pope graduates and does whatever one does with what he studies and jj opens his own surf shop. they buy themselves a proper house next to a beach and start to fully live that domestic life.
- i could see them potentially getting married at some point but i think they'd also be content to just live in harmony with each other for the rest of their lives.
10. how do you imagine they met?
jj bumps into pope at school one day while pope has his nose buried in a textbook as he rounds the corner then classic trope of pope dropping his books and jj helping pick them up. jj then starts to notice pope around more until one day he asks if pope wants to go surfing with him. (jj ends up teaching pope how to surf properly) and from then on they become best friends <3
