Renee's friends cheered her up at the romance festival and then the romance guru ruined her mood. What he said is already happening to her right now...

Bodyguard: You really do need to control yourself Miss Veronica. The situation is already bad back in Strangerville, so we've taken care of some of the stuff- Veronica: All I want to do is cheer her up. What's wrong with that? Bodyguard: You know there are consequences. You can't feel anything. You must not feel anything, ok?

Transcript:

?: [listens to her earpiece] How is the situation? Hmm…I see [concentrating on the surroundings] I am keeping an eye, I can't speak to her right now, she's not alone [nods her head] Yes, I will sort it out.

Renee: Noah, do you see that woman behind us? The one wearing all black? She seems kinda sketchy. Noah: [turns his head slightly] She does. I feel like she's been following us, but I can't tell for sure.

Renee: It's giving me an uncomfortable feeling as she keeps looking at Veronica. Noah: We should ask her if she knows that strange woman. Just to make sure. Renee: Sounds like a good plan…I don't know how we'll do that though. We need to be-

[Veronica could hear all of Noah and Renee's conversation and small beads of sweat begins to form on her forehead. She's in trouble now. Should she tell them the truth about that woman or turn a blind eye? The truth seems most likely in this case: they're bound to find out anyway. But when is the right time?]

What concerned Bryce had more to do with Vince's family and the future rather than the dangers from his past.

[Bryce stayed calm and composed in this situation. He didn't want to ruin this good night, so he kept the conversation going saying he did know her. But he needed to speak to Renee alone. Leilani could tell this from Bryce's expression and so she asked Vincent for a tour of the restaurant, to give them some alone time]

Renee: Dad you look worried, what's wrong? Don't tell me it's to do with Vince… Bryce: Please don't get upset with me darling but [heavy sigh] are you sure about Vince? Renee: Why are you asking me that? From the dinner, you seemed to really like him.

Bryce: I know. I do really like him, but I'm not so sure about his Mum or his family even. Renee: [gets upset] What does that have anything to do about our relationship? Bryce: His Mum and I have history. Let's just say she cheated on me, so I don't have a good feeling-

Renee: [stands up] What?! You didn't say any of that just then! I didn't even know you dated anyone else. Bryce: That's all in the past. You don't need to know any of it. Renee…we can see that Vince makes you happy and your happiness is what matters the most to us. But I want you to be careful with him ok?

Renee: Dad...not everyone is like their parents. I think you're seeing too much of his Mum in him and you're judging him based on that along with your past experience. He's his own person. Like you said, it's all in the past. From the way Vince talks about her, surely things have changed and she's not the same person you knew.

Bryce: [hugs her] Renee, I'm looking out for you, I don't want you to get hurt again. Renee: He won't hurt me Dad. Vince is a good guy. Even Billy says that and don't you trust him? Bryce: [reflects back on his own words] You're right. I trust him with my whole heart.

[Vincent reaches for his pocket to answer a call and drops his car keys] ?: [picks up keys and holds onto to them for a second too long] Sir, you dropped your keys. Vincent: Oh thanks. [to himself] Why's she looking at me like that?

No doubt it was V. Veronica's responses were short and simple and Renee couldn't believe her pen pal was standing right there before her! After the introductions to Noah and Chansung were made, the roomies started to bring all of the stuff upstairs. But Veronica stopped for a brief moment. She looked back to make eye contact with someone behind.
