@lliinnkk
Yeah sure I'll give you the run down of my theory of Gabriel's wish.
basic concept, outside of him and Emilie being together in the after life (and removed the thing that was causing pain, himself), which is permanent, the perimeters of the wish is to keep Adrien and Nathalie safe and happy. This aspect has conditions.
Because after Re-creation and Gabriel's death, suddenly everything progressive and good is happening, Caline is mayor, the environment is being taken care of more, social programs are being in-placed to help those struggling, all things Adrien vocally supported had come true and come into effect, along with the fact he is now free to do what he wants (and anything that threatens it is subdued, see werepapas ending where Emile backs down)
And then there's the new villains, Lila and The Kingdom. And the fact none of them barely did fucking anything or made any progress on whatever their missions are (I mean Noe got his hands on a Magical Charm, but that's still so far behind the progress Gabriel made before his death so I barely count it).
Lila has experienced set back after set back since she got the butterfly, no plan has gone right in anyway outside of not having the the miracle team not find out shit about her, with Gabriel, some of his side quests were fruitful for him in the same time span as Lila has been active. The only thing she got is the theory that Mari is Ladybug and her own ally won't believe her that the personification of a panic attack is paris' hero.
And now Lila has experienced an entire upheaval of the destruction of her lair, she (should) has backslid so far back and worse than Gabriel ever fucking did, she's going to have to build up whatever the fuck she was doing all over again, like that's so bad, so so bad.
It feels like there is something holding the villains back from making a lot of ground than you would think an organization that they would have at least gotten to Gabriel's point a lot quicker by now.
The reason why I think Adrien ignorance is what maintains the wish is because at this point the world just doesn't want him to know, like look around. As of now 6 people that can tell Adrien just fucking won't and only one of them has like a 40% coherent reason as to why she won't tell. And now Alya is apart of it and still decided to not tell him, deciding to do what everyone else has done and is acting like this is a game of fucking hot potato, constantly tossing the responsibility of telling him to others before it is eventually thrushed on Marinette instead.
AND SPEAKING OF MARINETTE. Every time Mari even gets the nerve to think about telling Adrien the truth, something happens to intimidate her into staying silent, Nathalie puts her hands on her and essentially verbally abuses her into staying silent, she gets fucking haunted by Gabriel (could also be Gimmi telling her to shut up) and this results in her cowarding out, these are the examples I can remember the clearest but there is probably more of her getting scared into backing out.
So yeah, the villains can't move forward when Adrien doesn't know the truth, the wish literally won't let them, and Adrien knowing the truth will cause the destruction of the wish and everything will get a lot worse.
