Hoenn to Sinnoh
gracideabearingmaiden
At long last, the new Champion had finally made the arrangements he needed to make in order to travel to the other regions. With support from Steven and Wallace, who assured him that the League would be safe in their hands, and no notable threats to the region, he felt that now was as good a time as any to journey out.Â
Brendan left many of his Pokemon in the temporary care of his friends and loved ones throughout Hoenn so that they would have someone to care for them and keep them healthy, and brought only a few Pokemon with him: Whimsicott, Gardevoir, and, naturally, his oldest and most reliable partner, Swampert. Whimsicott was still young and inexperienced, but Gardevoir and Swampert had been with the young man for quite some time now, so he was confident that they would all be fine so long as they stuck together.Â
Stepping off of the ferry in Canaleve, Brendan pulled his usual white hat down slightly. It was a bit colder here than in Hoenn, to be sure, but he'd be okay! Apparently his reputation preceded him, somewhat, as a few fans were there to greet him. He blushed a bit, not expecting people outside of Hoenn to know who he was, but smiled and thanked them for their kind words as he made his way out towards Jubilife after some local advice informed him that it was a good crossroads for Western Sinnoh. Never did he expect to meet another trainer just as gifted and young as he was... but meet her he did. In the Pokemon Center there he saw a blue-haired girl who seemed rather tiny, but, he could tell that she was about his age... As she approached the counter, she was greeted enthusiastically, and a few murmurs of 'Champion' certainly caught Brendan's attention.
Champion..? This girl? If that's true I definitely wanna meet her! I don't know if I could properly battle her right now, but still...
Nodding to himself a bit, he waited until the girl concluded her business before he approached with a friendly smile.
"Hey there!" He began, hoping he wasn't being too forward. He lowered his voice a bit so he wouldn't draw as much attention, "I couldn't help but hear someone say you were the Champion of this region..? Is that true?"
Brendan sat by the moonlit shore, playing a soft, simple melody on an ornate flute. The woodwind combined with the rolling waves of the beach created a very soothing atmosphere, as evidenced by Latias curled up on the ground next to the up-and-coming Champion. The flute was a gift to Brendan from the former Champion, Steven, and the pink Pokemon was drawn to it, always coming to his beck-and-call whenever the instrument was played.Â
He knew that Steven and Latios were counting on him to treat Latias well, and it was moments like this that let him soothe the powerful creature and help her to relax...
I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE IT NICHOLAS BRENDAN WAS ARRESTED IN BOISE BEFORE A CON FOR DRUNK AND DISORDERLY IN A HOTEL I CANNOT BELIEVE IT
